Well yeah, but no rookies that you're trading in at this point of the season have great JS unless they're directly filling a position for an injured player, or they were earmarked as clear best-22 preseason before having their own injury in the early rounds.

Even look at Hustwaite - best rookie we've had in weeks, yet there's every chance he goes out in two weeks' time when Nash is back.
Wookies .

Look, if Pittonet came in, I could see the logic. Realistically though, Marshall is unlikely to be a top-three ruck based on current form, and I could see you looking to upgrade him again at some point - not sure the <$100k profit would be worth it for the extra trades you'd be using.

Seeing quite a lot of these semi-sideways moves being proposed this week as some are unable to fund a true upgrade. If that's the case, better to just bank the cash for next week IMO.
Yep pittonet could make It a real option.
I'm probably doing at this stage
Kako to a forward rookie
Gross to hh
Lindsay to Warner.
Bice, zreid, lash and Hewett my last 4 rookies on field.
Pending selections ofc

I originally did Flynn to Marshall (flex) and TDK to Xerri. In the end, I’ve found a way to get Flynn to Xerri so I have Gawn, Xerri and TDK.

Logic is for me (worst case scenario), if TDK starts to drop off, gets injured or Pinniot comes in and starts effecting his performance, could be an easy avenue to get Bont, Butters etc.

Not fussed about the lack of flexibility for my flex as long as the 3 amigos pump out 110+ every week

Only Marley and Me the only forward wook.
Kacko is it soild AF .....still waiting for a spike game from him.

And one more for the folks looking at Gawn that's worth considering (bearing in mind that he's 33-years-old and hasn't played every game in a season since 2021). His past five seasons:

2024
Average after eight rounds: 133
Average for remainder of season: 118.6

2023

Average after eight rounds: 112 (removing injury-affected 0)
Average for remainder of season: 103.1

2022

Average after eight rounds: 120.5
Average for remainder of season: 108.0

2021

Average after eight rounds: 127.8
Average for remainder of season: 116.8

2020

Average after eight rounds: 153.7 (lol)
Average for remainder of season: 126

This is not to say he'll be a bad pick, but just worth considering if there's value getting him at ~$690k considering his tendency to burst out of the blocks and the fact you've likely missed just missed his two best scores for the season.

Thinking of using my last boost to get rid of Cerra.

138BE, will drop signifcant cash.

Bring in Sheezel, only have 3 bye 12 guys including him. He will go up in price again this week.

Alternatively I just wait and hope he comes back down again.

Think I've finally settled on my trades for a few scenarios:
  • If Flynn is dropped: Flynn/SPP to Warner/Hustwaite ($185k ITB)
  • If Tsatas is dropped: Tsatas/SPP to Warner/Hustwaite ($18k ITB)
  • If neither are dropped: Bice/SPP to Whitfield/Hustwaite ($61k ITB). Yes, Whitfield's BE is high and he hates playing in Geelong, but he's the only defender I want for my last spot down back (presuming Rozee [who I already have] gets DPP).

Yep, Warner was a no brainer last week.

If you pounced last week you got his 140 and saved nearly $30K!
Still not sold on Warner. Big increase in CBAs has lifted his score in the past few weeks. But with Mills back in 1-2 weeks (where he has been training in the mids) change that? Big risk with other good value plays in the $475-525k range

We are talking about Mills here. Good chance that he will break down before he comes back or very soon once he starts playing again.

Problem is I don't think there are 6 forwards who outscore him... (maybe Jacko could be added to the list)

Kennedy only player I don't have and Little Helmet is expendable...

I think you can apply this to anyone in the high 600k's. Nobody to my recollection has ever maintained a price tag over 700k for a long period of time, it's just no value to go after them. Unless the trade is completing your team it seems wasteful to grab em

700K is priced at 140 ppg, paying huge overs

I'm on a similar wavelength, I think Tsatsa will be useful throughout the byes and why get rid off him when we need cash generation?

  • If neither are dropped: Cerra/Campo to Warner/Hustwaite (I need to reduce my RD12 players)

Question is when will we know if Flynn is dropped?

Was Flynn that badly trounced on the weekend?
Did Mcw***er say something or is it vibes?
Can see the score imbalance, clearly won't have gotten Brownlow votes, didn't see game
