That trade looks good but it's not going to be worth it in the long run. Maybe you're happy with a slight loss just to have Bont, but in my view you're better off with Prior,+ Morares/Kako out and one up, one down. The bad Round 12 bye is another factor, and if I were picking someone from that bye, LDU is a far more tantalising prospect than Bont right now.

But how many Cerra's and LDU's and Warner's can one have in their side?
Getting one of the BIG BOYS with low ownership (BONT 12% ) could separate you from the pack. Think of those YYYYUUUUGGEEEEE captain scores they are capable of. BONT does it week in week out.

Everyone says "get rookies off the field", well I've done that too. Essentially Prior to BONT.

My cash gen is fine. Still have LAshcroft, MHall, Lindsay, Cleary, E.Hewitt, Hustwaite, Reid, & Bice. Plenty of cash to come in. Only 3 rookies not playing, in Stone, Boyd, and CHall.

Sinclair/KiddyC/Holmes comes in to DEF next week using Lindsay/MHall (via Stone).
Have to loop Carroll & Hayes/Busslinger this week at D6 just for this week.

Not worried about the round 12 bye. Cerra & Daniel may be gone by then.

Having said all of that, I am still looking at Zerrett instead, banking the $100k.

I subscribe to this theory, especially as I'm only playing for leagues at this point. Better off upgrading a bit slower and getting the big boys in. Will be crushing opponents at the pointy end.

Think I'll be boosting this week. A few rookie downgrades which granted, might not be the prettiest, but in order to make an upgrade. Currently looking at:

OUT: MORAES, KAKO, MAX HALL

IN: LORENZ, ERASMUS, Warner or Marshall (via flex)

If you had to choose Warner or Marshall, who would you take? Rowan could be huge as a third ruck, but I also fear that TDK will negate him tomorrow anyway

I'd probably go zerrett myself.
He's still a uber premo and probably underpriced.
Realistically bont will probably out score him by 10 points per game. But zerrett also has the better bye.
But you do you mate you don't need to convince me!

Yep really want Zerrett in! Bont at top price, Zerrett probably under by $50k.

10 points for $100k is not too bad, considering all the league matches I've lost by under 10 points!

Another thing that tipped me over is Phillipou and Kiddy Coleman are both fit now and nicely priced.
I can almost sideways rookies to get them in, getting another two rookies off the field, while holding the big guy.

I did this week, IMO he's almost maxed out and his sacrifice is helping me get Zerrett

If Pitto is in for Curnow, I will go TDK > Gawn.

My other trade will be Archer Reid to Erasmus, unless he is the sub.

I'm holding Davidson and Prior at this stage.

I think it's possible that Davidson rewards long term holders. His best venue by far is Marvel and he has nice matchups there all through the byes. Yeah, you'd have to hold him through his own bye. I'm seriously considering it as a long term strategy. Every kent is gonna hit a team value ceiling this year, I'm looking for ways to make it as high as possible. Davidson after the Roos in Round 17 could easily be over 400k IMO. Facilitates your last sexy upgrade and you hit the finals with a team maybe better than most others. I can dream

Yeah I agree, LDU is way too inconsistent and has never been in my plans. I've never actually owned him.
Warner is the same. I know his role has changed, but it could easily swing back.

I want that certainity. Zerrett and Bont give that.
