Trades Round 9 trades

Think I go with these trades. Gets another rookie off the ground and I'm happy to go early on Coleman.
I will leave him in the Flex position as he might drop a poor score or could ton up who knows.
Rowell and Short get a reprieve "AGAIN" I will deal with them during the byes.
I have 19 trades left and $24k ITB so next week will be all about getting rookies in.
It will be 2 out of Fonti/Boxshall/Lorenz for Gross & Campo.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn’t recommend him. Last week was the first time in a while they actually tried to go through him. You know how frustrating it is having Bailey Dale but the team rather go through JJ and ****ing Bramble

BEs aside, Whitfield comfortably. If you have Rozee in the middle and four other def premos already, I'd be grabbing him as he's pretty much a must-have.

I'll also be grabbing him if Flynn and Tsatas hold their places. Not ideal with that BE/Geelong matchup, but I don't want to fill my last defender spot with anyone else.

Doing similar......only M.Reid and Flynn to Lorenz and Warner.......trying to decide whether to boost and go Cerra to Rozee as well.....both R12 byes so no difference and Rozee in the Mids to get D/M after R11....I have Sinc and Holmes in Def

I would not be going early on Lorenz.

Good chance that Port will play Boak ahead of Lorenz (not that I agree with it). Boak is 50/50 to play this week.

Been thinking.

Which is never a good idea.

With no boosts left and this weeks trades locked in.

If I use all my trades til after the round 12 bye at 2 each week thats 6 trades. (Down to 19 already and 3 upgrades in midfield needed maybe 2 in defence.)

Thought is I may only get 1 upgrade out of these 6 trades, the other 5 going hopefully to downgrades and cash gen.

So far have good balance for byes only 4 premo’s in rd 12 but 5-7 in rd 16. The rest are all good.

Team value needs to grow by at least another 1-1.4Mil out of rookies and not keepers.

This happened last year and the year before that, and I took whatever rookie was named with low BE only for those tookie to end up as season long dead fish sitting on the pine replaced by a senior player coming back from a LTI.

So do I make the same mistake again.

I bloody hope not.

Would love to leave the byes with 4 to 5 trades left.

And one more for the folks looking at Gawn that's worth considering (bearing in mind that he's 33-years-old and hasn't played every game in a season since 2021). His past five seasons:

This is not to say he'll be a bad pick, but just worth considering if there's value getting him at ~$690k considering his tendency to burst out of the blocks and the fact you've likely missed just missed his two best scores for the season.

I love the guy, but IMO no one should trade in a player at 690k. Even 620k is a stretch. Just burns too must cash. Butters and Bont in the same boat. Buy low is the game.

How did I know you'd chime in, lol. He regularly has a lower score in Round 1, then regularly goes nuts from Rounds 2-8. Not sure what's ironic about that.

Nonetheless, agree with the second paragraph.

Unfortunately I’m lacking the testicular fortitude required but I’m having a serious look at Heeney this week.

Great run up to the byes, nice finish to the year and only 5 games v current top 8 sides for the rest of the season (4 of them in Sydney). Will be watching closely this weekend.
