If I was you I would cash out Hodge for Grimes and make a quid, plus your 74k then upgrade Petrenko to Gilbee or maybe you can afford Newman after that. Or better.

That's the most logical move for you because then you won't have any 0's this week plus Broughton and Cheney on the bench is nice, they'll be around and making some points whereas Petrenko does jack.

Yeah I was looking at those 2 moves tonight. Yeah, only prob is Hodge was an upgrade for the essendon game.. Hmm, if i did Hodge > Grimes and Petrenko would be any defender under 563.9k. Already have Newman. Spewing I should of got Gilbee or even Waite instead of Hodge:mad: I was looking at Burgoyne too as he is only 427k and could allow me to offload T Tuck next week for Coon or Power perhaps??.. Geez, I feel like a noob:eek:

Help me SC gurus!!!!
Option 1: Buddy in, Mitch Brown out. Leaving Krak Ziebell McCaffer as bottom 3 with very little cash.

Option 2: Buddy in, Krak out. Ziebell Brown McCaffer bottom 3 & $160000 leftover.

Fwd line is Pav, S Johnson, J Brown, Deledio, Gia + above

Nah Hodge was just bad luck, he was too tempting, I did the same thing. Hodge just sitting there though is too much dormant cash and he is not gonna be back for a while then he needs to get some form... just not warranted him being in any side I think. 563k is a nice amount to play with, I would definitely jump on Gilbee right now because he is going to rise a lot after this round, B/E of only 28.

That will leave you $100k change and the next week you can look to downgrade a rookie and turn Tuck into a premium. This is the last week to get on Grimes before he rises too, this is the same moves I have made basically except I downgraded Tuck for the cash for Gilbee and I'll cash out Krakoeur next week to get Petrenko to a premium.

Those 2 trades will get you rolling again, your not a noob, just got to flow with the currents in this game and you can turn it around fast.

Personally I think the Krak ship has peaked and now will be all downhill plus $395k is too good a salary to have sitting on the bench and the call between Ziebell and Krak right now is tight especially if Ziebell has a good one this week.

Therefore the biggest win for you is to free the Krak cash for elsewhere and run with Ziebell as your 7th forward in my opinion. He will capably serve as that minus injury and the $160k will be enough to get another premium in elsewhere.

i would go with option 1. it basically finishes your forward line off as kraks and ziebs should get you through the year. you dont want to have to keep playing Brown on the field and the 160k aint gonna get you the upgrade you want.

really stuck between 2 options at the moment
option 1:
Tuck > cooney
+
houlihan > gia

OR

houlihan > mcglynn
+
tuck > mid worth around 600k

HELP!!!!

there is probably more risk in option 1, but the rewards seem to be a lot higher. both those players could really turn it on in the 2nd half of the year. not great to be getting them before they play geel so dont expect too much this week, but if you have some gamble i would go with the top option.
there are also some doubts over McGlynns long term position in the hawks team.

cheers mate, i also found an option 3:

tuck > mcglynn (didnt know he was also a mid)
+
houlihan > fwd worth 600k

still, i might go with option 1.

maybe il toss a coin

A lot of people considering going either Hill or Houlihan to Newman (me included). Anyone put off by what's happened this week in getting Newman?

Talk (and who's to know if it's true or not) that he asked for Wallace's resignation. Media commentators now saying Newman should be stripped of the captaincy. Anyone think this might affect his game (and scoring potential) for the rest of the year?

Maric to McIntosh
Hill to Gilbee

Happy if I don't have to trade much for a while now.

Only real job is to cash out 4 or so cows over the next 6 weeks and then start buying up premiums with my last 7 trades. Just need to dodge a few bullets with regards to injury.

What are peoples thoughts on Stevie J vs ROK? 17k price difference, average of 106 vs 89, does anyone else think ROK has more potential in him than Stevie? question is geelongs dominance, stevie gets a lot of oppurtunity... cheers for any opinions guys

It is a worry. I strongly doubt that he will be dropped or that they will strip his captaincy. There were several players wanting Wallace's head on a platter but it's the captain of the club needs to deliver the message.....that is his job. It's complete rambles down there and there is no doubt that the Wallace has lost a bunch of his players.

The big worry is that it will effect Newman mentally. His mind might not be 100% focused on the job at hand. I don't know how resilient he is mentally but the Richmond bunch don't strike me as having mental toughness as their leading attribute.

Another reason I chose Scotland over Newman is that Bowden is every chance to go and play in the forward line.....so the Richmond defense will no longer be chipping around the ball in the backline to the same extent. Sometimes yo have to wonder whether Richmond pay their defender by the possession........just get it out of there.

Currently questioning the same issue...

Looks like ROK had a slow start to the season, and is now coming good. With Barry Hall and O'Laughlin now in the forward 50, he should be a link man, like the last few years where he has scored well...

But like you mentioned, SJ is going to get a HEAP of ball delivered to him on a platter...

Why not take the risk and go ROK? Not sure what I will do... I might just bite the bullet and go Fev - Roo

Well, I went ROK and I am a Geelong supporter ;).

It was a risk as ROK doesn't seem to be in great form so my choice was based on potential.

Steve J can go missing a lot in games. With the return of Ablett it means that Chapman will not need to play midfield as much so Chappy will steal points off Steve J. But, you also need to factor in that Geelong will continue steam rolling teams this year and will score very highly as a team. Sydney will struggle at times.

I went for ROK on potential but you can't really go wrong with either.

Just be aware that Steve J is a clanger king.

Option 1: Trade N.Krakouer to Sidebottom.
T.Tuck to Goodes

Option 2: Trade Ziebell to Sidebottom
T.Tuck to Goodes

So pretty much who should i trade out ziebell or krakouer? have 14 trades left.

OK, think I need some advice for this week, really not sure what the best thing for me to do is.

I had originally planned to trade Hill to Grimes, then upgrading either Dempsey to any defender or Otten to any midfielder, but that was before Broughton and Petrenko were both dropped.

My backline is: Cornes, Fisher, Goddard, Drummond, Dempsey, Hill, Broughton (Petrenko, Rance).

So, as you can see, unless I trade (or if I don't trade, unless Broughton is a late inclusion which apparently may happen), I'll be copping a 0 down back.

I have 13 trades left and $157,000 left in the salary cap.

I've been thinking hard about this and here are some options I have thought of:

A) Continue with my plan and trade Hill to Grimes, and either Otten or Dempsey to a premium. Play with a 0 in my defense.

B) Trade Rance to Grimes, freeing up a little more cash, play Grimes and move Broughton to my bench, hoping for a return from him sooner rather than later

C) Same situation as option B, but trading Petrenko instead of Rance

D) Trade Beams to Davenport, and Rance to any defender except for Bowden, Lockyer and Waite. Obviously I would only consider this if Davenport is named tonight, but it would leave me with basically no cap space at all.

To be honest I'm leaning towards option A at the moment. It seems that a lot of teams are going to be copping a 0 this week, and so I won't be at much of a disadvantage from that perspective. It is also worth mentioning that I've played the last few weeks with at least 1 donut, usually 2, but have still managed to score consistently over 2100 so I can't see why I wouldn't be able to keep that up. The only negative I can really think of, besides the obvious disadvantage of playing a man down, is that I'll be relying on Rance, Broughton, Petrenko to break back into their respective teams sooner rather than later which is a risk, and I'll be a man down until they do.

Thoughts?

If you look at B/Evens Krakouer will lose you the most money
Krakouer B/E = 145
Ziebell B/E = 35

So if you were always going to cash both I would go Krakouer this week

Petrenko -> Grimes

I've done this one, felt like an easy decision. Grimey into #7 slot at defence for a while. See how he goes.

Now I need to decide what to do with N Krakouer up forward, if anything. I don't have the cash to upgrade him to a premium I want, so I wonder if it's time to sell him down... but to who? Sidey seems to be the most obvious candidate... but how many games does he get at the Pies? One of he, T Walker or M Brown would need to play, too.

If I go Kraks->Sidey I'm then set up to look at Rich -> GAJ in the next fortnight, which completes my midfield.

Right direction? Too trade happy?

Was planning on having Krakouer as a keeper until a few weeks ago, so not to sure what i will do with him.

Wanna trade for a forward that is a keeper -top line player before they get more value, my options are

Goodwin,

Pavlich by a mile would be my choice. Started the season slowly, but is a proven SC performer, and an absolute champion.

Chapman would be my next choice... but always has the ''injury'' potential!

Don't know weather to trade or not this week. (I will have 2 of my 3 league games won b4 they start):thumbsu:
12 trades left atm. so if I was going to do any was thinking of -
Out:Adcock In:Grimes
Out:Kornes In:Sewell

Worth it or not.
