Why you would want Hodge in your team at all has me stuffed.

Really bleeding that I traded in L Power back in rnd 3 (due to massive holes) He was not the right choice.

Unless something drastic occurs I dont plan on trading again until week 14. (after the bye)

I think Hodge will pick up his form after the break......

Hodge is a gun player but not sure I can wait for a 6 weeks...

im gonna bring in grimes before round 9 (like everyone else) for either Petterd, Petrenko or Hill. I'm willing to wait for Houlihan, cause i have the depth on the backline.

Also, im considering Ben McGlynn (228,300), who has had scores of 85, then 109, and is going up next round. He can be forward or midfielder, and ill probably trade one of my forward rookies for him. Only problem is though, will he still be playing once Hawthorn get their best side together, or will he get dropped??? Can a Hawthorn supporter answer this for me?

There's some debate about that on the Hawks board ATM, but IMO Benny Mac, as much as we all love him, and as much as he's a goer, is not in our best 22. Will almost certainly make way for better users of the ball once they start coming back. That said, with those scores, and at that price, there's probably worse options to make you some decent coin in the meantime.

Given his price, I was trying to avoid getting aboard the Grimey-train, but it's looking too irresistable. My #1 priority is pissing off Spudrenko, so could sideways him to Grimey, but that leaves me with nothing ($$) for upgrades. Am thinking maybe Hill > Grimes, then Malceski > Newman/Waite (depending how much Waite increases after today).

ive used 12 or 14 trades because of injuries, but am going to trade again this week so i can settle my team.

three options:
mitch brown > sidebottom
rich > judd/montagna/dal santo

mitch brown > sidebottom
krakouer > roo/davis/chapman

rich > cooney
krakouer > okeefe

third option gives me the most stability.

first option gives me a midfield of ablett, pendles, sewell, selwood, coughlan and judd/montagna/dal santo

second option gives me a foward line of goodwin, deledio, higgins, davey, s.johnson, rioli and roo/davis/chapman

if you have used 12 or 14 trades you need to stop trading! those players are all playing atm, if you are down to 4 or 6 trades left u will very shortly have 0 trades to cover anyone!

my trades will be similar to most. Hill, i believe has peaked will make way for grimes. I will also likely upgrade houlihan to newman or enright. If hoops plays i may not make this trade.

I have 364 k sitting waiting for ablett. But gonna wait at least 2 games to hopefully get a small discount in price, Rich will make way for him!

team will take a massive drop this week from around 1000 to who knows scoring around 1800, terrible

like i said im trying to settle my team so i can just let it play itself out for the rest of the season with players on the bench to cover.

i have used most of my trades because ive had over 15 injuries, and im top of my league too.
scored over 2200 this week with ablett, higgins and hodge on the sidelines.

Want to do Suban/Rance/Raines to Grimes

and

J. White to Kosi

(But need Kosi to get under 120 in SC to afford that ... thought would be no issue but he is 96 at 3/4 time )

I got a touch under 300k in the bank so I might consider Hill > Grimes and then Suban/ Petrenko > Fisher

Give me a defence of; Goddard, Fisher, Gilbee, Cornes, Adcock, Grimes, Broughton

EDIT: Or maybe not, is there any 94k players that you could trade Hill down too, I might have missed the Grimes bandwagon.

Broughton, mate

Big jump this week

Suban --> Broughton
Hill --> Gilbee

I think it's a good time to get on Gilbee. The dogs are very slowly building up to their best and I think Gilbees form will also get better as a result.

Can't say I agree. We are not building at all, in fact we have been very very ordinary for 4 weeks now. That and the fact we play Geelong next week suggests that Gilbee is no must have

Hill > Grimes
Houlihan > Newman

Will leave me with a defence of Goddard, Fisher, Drummond, Chornes, Gilbee, Newman, Grimes, Broughton, Cheney and about 140K in the bank

Agree with Stanton, your crazy for even thinking about trading again this week. Looking at yout team there really doesn't seem to be any need to.

thinking of

suban to grimes or raines

adcock to gilbee or is this too sideways?

and also wanna trade luke ball soon

got 12 trades left

I dunno what the rules are, but I'm sick of Adcock's (&*^%. I may well punt him this week for Grimey, who I think is ace, and use the dosh to fix something else.

I got Gilbee last week and he responded with as 120, so I'm happy with that. Whilst coaches may be paying more attention to him, this is still a guy who has averaged 95-110 over the last 4 years or something. Getting him at <$430k seems like a good move to me.

So yeah, what 94k backmen are around? Grima from North?

This is the problem. The only decent cheap backman seems to be Broughton yet many teams already have him.

Compounding this is that the other back rookies who have been playing are still around $200-$250K making it not the greatest cash grab right now, if you bring Broughton in as a rookie downgrade (as someone else pointed out to me).

Grimes is the good option however he has 2 price rises already built in and, if he tails off, may take ages to reach $400K.

I think I will let both Brougton and Grimes go as I don't have Houlihan or Malceski and have already let Hodge go.
