Mcguane for Edwards and you have yourself a deal.

What about McGuane for McBean or Griffiths? I really don't like Edwards because he is so old and one dimensional?

I kept McGuane in for the simple fact he offers more pressure but I am starting to turn against him even though I was hoping for the best.

Simple solution is dropping Grigg and Jackson once Ellis and Conca are fit. McGuane Actually leads the best out of our forwards but they all get burnt so it's hard to give them a bad rap. hopefully it isn't just poor coaching.

Yeah good call.
Unfortunately they are both still about 2 weeks away.
Hopefully after the bye we can have some big inclusions and give Adelaide a red hot go.
I've already put a line through us this week.

IMO it never hurts to give a first or second year player a crack at the big time to see how they respond and give them exposure to the real deal. If you look at a team like Geelong you see they have no problem blooding players in the AFL these days and it is paying dividends big time.

Geelong also have champion senior players who can make up for a young kids mistakes.

I've already put a line through us this week.

I have if we play the same style and don't make some of the changes I have suggested. We can't afford to rely on players always being fit long term so we really need to find some more quality young talent. Surely Arnot would just explode once he played AFL he just gives me that feeling.

To be honest, I don't see all the fuss with Arnot.
If he was THAT good, he would have debuted by now.
Clearly has the body to play AFL and apparently his tank is good too, but something is holding him back.
Vlastuin came in pretty much straight away and Arnot has a year on him.

We shall see and hope I'm proven wrong.

This is true to a degree but I consider our core to have the potential to be champions, it is just the players surrounding are duds and bring them down.

Unlike some first year recruits I just think he needs to develop his body a bit. Don't throw him to the wolves.

If worst case occurs, we will be going over with a very weak side against WCE.

We are not getting Ellis, Conca, Pettard, Tuck, or Grimes back before the break. There is speculation about Lids now, and whether Ty has another concussion, if those two fall....

I know you have man love for Jackson but he is a tagger and didn't tag a soul last night. His disposal is 50/50, his speed is slow and his decision making is often in question. He also rarely kicks to a lead. He has played some good games this year but he is never going to be a match winner as a player or tagger and unfortunately all midfielders need to have that capability.

Yes desperate to fix our disfunctional forward line that doesn't lead at all or all lead to the one area.
Yes desperate to give kids a go and see what we have.
Yes desperate to stick a rocket up quite a few players who aren't deserving a spot atm.

Spot on, and if the rest of the team played with his intensity we would be a top 6 team.

Nat Browns analysis on the ch9 footy show with Jackson and Houli was spot on. And i guarantee those two incidents would have had the usual fearals calling for their blood.

I actually don't dislike Jackson and I believe he plays with his whole heart but he lacks the talent to do anything other than tag. He is the player you want as the 22 best player you have that can shut down one player from the opposition team. He didn't do that against Essendon even though he may have been told not to tag I don't understand why. 29 disposals to Jackson is like 14.5 to Deledio.
