David Neitz debuted in 1993, that was the last time we drafted a KPF that was AFL standard. I get we have other issues but the fact Jeffo and JVR are busts is so bad for our long term future.

Jesse Hogan was absolutely AFL standard with us and we got him in a mini-draft so that still counts as drafting him.

Probably in the minority here but I thought Oliver pkayed well today. Had a role to curtail Newcombe who has been red-hot and he did that.

Other than 1 long bomb that I can remember I thought he was better with the ball, nice pass to sparrow even if it was a relatively easy kick but a couple of others he went to go long but then pulled it shorter to advantage.

I totally get that it doesn't add up against what we are paying him but we can't change. We can build him back up though, make him a more complete player.

• Bloody expensive tagger
• Hawks killed us for scores from clearances (30 points more than us), which is the one thing he can do well

Meek ain't no chump but he got taken to school today by big Maxie. Hopefully he will learn from that experience.

Oliver feels like Frawleys last season when Roos knew he was gone so he didn't play him in defence.

Such a predictable result. Probably the most frustrating game so far this season. Hawks played like s* and as usual our forward issues meant we just couldn't put them away and then the avalanche of goals against us lol.

Good

Langford. Wow. Kid is a jet.

Gawn. Arguably the best on ground again.

Defence. Thought they were solid for most of the game. Good to see Judd get a little confidence and Bowey again played a more than solid game.

The G. Saturday game. Perfect weather. Nothing better.

Bad

F50 yet again and absolute horrific mess. We really should have been 6 goals up in the 3rd.

Umpiring. Not saying it cost us the game, but f* me it was so bad. That Koz legging was the worst non call I think I've ever seen.

Ugly

Jefferson. Could be the worst player I've ever seen play(maybe other than Fullerton). An absolute bust as a 1st round pick. Horrible selection.

Oliver as tagger. Gross. 1.5 mil to tag blokes. Newcombe still beat him and we got smashed. Dumb all round.

Fritsch. Besides Oliver, has a player fallen away so badly like this before?

Lions next week. I've already got the lube out.
