Great to see Gwilt back, named in the starting line up too.
Not sure about Siposs in for Wilkes but I guess there might still be late changes, especially with Watters saying he picks a squad of 25 rather than a 22.

I doubt they will start in those positions, Blake is named in a back pocket but will probably spend more time in the ruck with Kosi at full forward. Positions don't mean a lot these days anyway with the way teams play.

If the team stays as is that means Siposs takes Wilkes spot in the forward line, Gwilt takes Blake's spot in the backline and who takes Stanley's place in the ruck. I like it. Obviously Blake in the ruck isn't ideal but we have to make do.

I would have thought Wilkes would be better playing that Stanley role as he is more of a key forward than Siposs who is more of a medium size forward.
We are going to be relying a lot on Riewoldt as a forward marking target if Kosi is playing in the ruck.

Raph as an emergency scares the hell out of me.
Mmm... I've been a bit of a raph basher in the past. Which I'm not proud of, but look, 90% of the time he deserved it.
BUT... I think I am willing to give him one more chance under watters game plan. Somebody else mentioned this a while a go, but i just want to see him run, maybe up and down a wing, take on a fisher type role with a more attacking flare to it.
I know he has already had second, third, fourth, fi- a LOT of chances, but just ONE more under watters seems fair.
I also don't think this week would be the worst time for him to have a game. Sydney don't have the most damaging forward line and if its a tough midfield battle with stray kicks in to both forward lines, it could be his kind of game.

Yeah I agree, I just want to see what he can do if he takes the Ross Lyin' shackles off.
If he's still shit then oh well, but he could be a great addition to the midfield/backline

I just think we've got too many good/young players to waste time with Raph. Fisher played well as an attacking defender under Ross, so did Gilbert, Gwilt and Goddard when he went back there. No more excuses for this guy, he's just simply not up to it.

Re Raph, he would be fine if he just realised he does not have as much time as he thinks.
Remember, Essendon fans said most of these things about Ricky Dyson, and look at him. New coach finally has allowed him to flourish, and he's currently a good player in the in form team of the league. Surely Raph Clarke isn't beyond the realm of recovery, and we can salvage something out of him.

I mean, I know Jack Darling is a talent, and he is going to be a star, but I think Lenny probably deserves a bit more than a little line on the bottom of the front cover. Would have liked to have had a commemorative 250 game Lenny Hayes cover to keep. Maybe we could get an alternate one, but it seems doubtful...
Oh well, it's only a record, I guess.

I think Raph could be a great player he just lacks confidence. When he plays well he is great coming out of defence - even electric to watch. Just seeing him run down is not too thrilling.
Maybe Watters can help to give him the confidence and poise that will finally see him develop to be the player that we all want him to be.

Bit disapointed Schnieds didnt make it but he's still emergency so he mightbe a late change, also Raph played well last week at VFL so u never no xD

Anyway maybe hes at FF because they ddint no where to put him, so perhaps he might be a late change? i mean i no its unlikely, i love the confidence he ahs and his performance for this year has been outstanding but coming off all the matches and 2 6 day breaks i think he might be out for Schnieds.

Yeah give him his chance, so the new coach can discover that he is an excellent player at VFL level.
