Adelaide United are currently playing a trial game against Melbourne Victory and are 1-0 down at half time. A penalty to Besart Berisha

Round ball ugh. How much longer for Pardew tribey ?

It's hard to say, I have no idea what goes through Ashley's head. The buck's got to stop with someone though - can't score, can't defend. The elephant in the room has a sign marked 'relegation?' hanging from each tusk.

Damn your villains El_Scorcho

Undefeated! At least one team is keeping Chelsea honest!

Our defence has been absolutely rock solid. One goal conceded in 4 matches, and it was probably an own goal.

I'm sure over the next few games (where after Liverpool we play Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham in a 5 game run haha thank Premier League) we'll concede a few more, but it's really heartening to see us strong at the back, clever in the midfield and reasonably dangerous up forward.

If we can maintain our current efforts when Benteke gets back, we'll be finishing top half quite comfortably.

We never seem to get on top of Villa at Anfield in recent times. That lack of cutting edge and reliance on 'heem and Sturridge was evident. I can't say I'm too unhappy considering the result of a certain other game a few hours beforehand :)

The longer Pardew keeps his job, the longer I will be happy ....
It's not so much Pardew, Mark Ashley is running Newcastle as a profit-making club by buying up cheap players and selling them once they have started to play well and increased in value. The supporters want him out, in fact some have even gone so far as to say they would take relegation if that will get him to sink his claws into another club.

Anyone heading off the AO Friday night? Should be a huge game and a big crowd. I haven't got a ticket yet but hoping the other half picks up tickets through work.
