Explain how 8 minutes added time stretched to 14 in the game that just finished (finally).

“Until it’s tied”

Ref ultimately gave up, though. 😂

Tunisia drew 0-0 with Denmark. Good result for Oz, but Tunisia wont be a push over.A high energy, high intensity and physical game by Tunisia. Really challenged the Danes.

Cant call that a boring 0-0 draw. Lots of near goals by both sides, some great goal keeping by both keeprs and a VAR handball review 2 minutes into 5 minutes of extra time against Tunsia in the penalty box area, but ref ruled no penalty as ball bounced off defenders chest in to his arm/hand so wasnt an intial play on the ball.

Glad there was no penalty would have been shattering. Both sides ran hard all day. Neither side will be easy for Oz to beat.

First Saudis and now Tunsia this morning doing a great job against their more fancied highly ranked South American and Euro opponents. Showing Asian and African footballers can match it with some of the bigger boys.

Proper soccer fans, convince me that offside isn't a s**t rule and the game wouldn't be better without it

It doesn't allow a forward player to be stuck near the goalkeeper.
It allows teams to play their last line high up the pitch.

Great opening goal by Goodwin, but France are dominating and opening us up at will especially on the left.

The numbers at the back are there, but they don't matter. There are always French players wide open everywhere.

It’s personalized for the match.
The French don't have the Australian Flag on their shirts. Why? Because rightfully they don't respect Australian soccer. Being the 3rd (at best) most popular football code in the country, apart from 2006 when we had some genuinely decent players, the World Cup always feels so far out of our depth. There wouldn't be a player in this current Australian team that would make a 5th string French team.

They don’t have any flag. Their jerseys have the countries’ names.

I don’t know who decides on this. ECU had flags, but not QAT.

I would need to check other games.
