Yet again something that reminds me of the crows is United's inability to be honest with itself about its own downfalls. Galekovic, which I admire, stating that they "would've been second" had they "done better" at the beginning of the season with no mention of accountability for the mental meltdown his players had in their last home game against the Heart. That's where they lost second spot. I don't know if I'm reading into it fairly or not but that's just how they come across to me.
 
Has David Moyes been sacked as Man Utd manager? Denials all round but no comment on his future.

Somehow I doubt Man U will worry that much about the money sacking Moyes will cost. In the end they'll balance up what it will cost them to miss Champions League and title races against what it will cost to pay out Moyes.

It is ironic that Everton are still motoring along quite nicely without Moyes.
 
I never wanted moyes to come in. Underachiever at Everton, negative tactics, only plays for the draw against hard teams, no idea when it comes to team selection. Once he came in and sacked all our coaches and assistant manager, some who had been there for 15+ years, I knew we weren't going to make top 4.

Everton players have made it very public that they are rejoicing that they now have Martinez over moyes. Gives them freedom, good style of play and backs them in against top teams, instead of selecting a defensive team.

My list last year instead of moyes was Martinez, Van Gaal, Klopp, Simeone and Laudrup or Blanc. Sounds like we are after Van Gaal which makes me happy :)

have read elsewhere that there is a clause in his contract that if United finish outside the top 4, he would get only 1 years payout. If that's the case it will be money well spent just to be rid of him.

Sydney FC parts ways with coach Frank Farina following disappointing A-League season

FRANK Farina has paid the price for another season of underperformance at Sydney FC, being sacked this afternoon less than a day after the club’s awards night.
Defeat on Friday night in the knock-out final by Melbourne Victory proved the last straw for the former national team coach, the final year of whose contract had been dependent on attaining a finish in the top four.
The club announced his exit at 3pm today, with the club now in the process of seeking its eighth manager in nine years. It’s unclear at this stage what will happen to the rest of the coaching staff, several of whom were brought in by Farina.

Oh, and the fact I hate LFC with the same loathing I have for paper cuts or people who talk about their gym session on facebook.
 
Fighting back from 0-2 to 3-2 and then going down to a last minute away goal must be the worst possible way to lose a tie. I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen the Valencia players dig holes for themselves.
 
Well Sunderland's win over Man United (is werner anywhere to be seen?) means my Norwich boys will go down. They can't cut the mustard at this level. They will be back though.

NEWCASTLE Jets has appointed former Adelaide United assistant Phil Stubbins as its new head coach, on a two-year contract.
Stubbins joins the club from Thailand where he was head coach at Bangkok Glass FC and Ayutthaya F.C.
Clayton Zane, who stepped into the interim coach role for 12 games after Gary van Egmond was dismissed, will remain at the club as an assistant coach, while retiring striker Michael Bridges will coach the club’s under-18 Emerging Jets outfit.
Stubbins has served a long coaching apprenticeship, joining Aurelio Vidmar’s coaching team at Hindmarsh Stadium in 2007, part of the United era that included AFC Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup appearances and he has also worked at the Australian Institute of Sport.
