Great win for sure but soured by the injury to Babalj. Kept switching between this and the 36'ers epic win.

Amazing that the Brisbane Roar are still top after losing 0-4 and 1-4 in consecutive weeks, although it is possible they could drop to fourth by the time the round's completed on Tuesday. Next three weeks look a bit easier with games against the 8th Jets and 10th Central Coast and a home game against the 3rd Sydney FC. But we're still a few points down on most teams so we may not move any further up the table for a few weeks now. Even if this unbeaten run goes on we still need someone to slip up and I'm sure Adelaide will have a few more draws as well, quite possibly to teams they expect to beat.

One guy kept referring to a player as 'Slippery Fish', I was listening while driving for about half an hour and never did find out who he was referring to. Not that I know any of the soccer players anyway but the varied attempts to be Cometti-like did give the commentary an amusingly surreal flavour. At least Brian Taylor called McEvoy 'Big Boy McEvoy' so you knew who he was referring to.

That penalty reminded me of the Berisha one, when he was at Brisbane, in the GF against Perth. In fact it was worse than Berisha's.

Struggled to a point, in the end it didn't matter with them. I could listen to Festival of the Boot Part 2 (the NRL GF) and still enjoy them without knowing any of the players. I still remember listening to what must have been the 1989 AFL GF as my wife and I were painting a room and I'd never heard them before. I kept stopping early on wondering what the hell was happening but soon picked it up. I loved This Sporting Life after that.
