Had a look at the English Championship (level below EPL) table today and see that Fulham are a fair way clear on top and all but guaranteed direct promotion, being 16 points clear of the promotion play-off section with 6 & 7 games remaining. Fulham should be called the Yo-Yos because they inevitably get relegated back to the Championship very quickly every time they win a promotion.

Only Brentford of this season's EPL promotees look like surviving, with Watford and Norwich likely heading straight back to the Championship.

Everton managed a win over Man U this week, but are still in danger of being relegated from the top flight for the first time in over 60 years. They could be replaced by another famous club in Nottingham Forrest, who are currently 3rd in Championship - they'll probably have to win the play-off though as they're 6 points behind Bournemouth.

Talking of (once) famous clubs, Derby County are headed for relegation to the third tier - they should be well safe, but had 21 points deducted for "financial problems" and are now 9 points adrift of safety with only 5 games remaining. Unlike the socialist AFL propping up the financially weaker clubs, the World Game weeds them out!

Sorry chiwigi the Welsh teams are stinking it up in the Championship this season ;)

Still hopeful of automatic promotion. We have gained 7 points on Bournemouth in the last 5 games, and we both have 7 games to play. One of the remaining fixtures is against them, albeit away from the CG.

Easter tends to see further clarity with 2 games in quick succession.

Advantage to Bournemouth after last nights games 😒 although only by a point. On to Monday

5 points between us and Bournemouth. 4 games each to go, including the all important game we have against each other, so it might be difficult but not impossible.

Would‘ve been 4 if not for a 98th minute penalty to Bournemouth last night.

Tuesday night/Wednesday morning games this week will be critical. We have Fulham at Craven Cottage. I hope their players have the same attitude as their fans.

Last night, well until the 98th minute anyway, they were singing “they’re coming for you, they’re coming for you, Nottingham Forest, they‘re coming for you”.

Next season (with all the $$ they have) will be interesting... The should be pushing for one of the top 7 spots depending on who they can buy.
Yeah they're a genuinely interesting team, don't get me wrong. I spent most of my time I was more in to soccer with them being around the mark.

But as a Liverpool fan right now I'm really just supporting them against Man City on the 9th May.

I was a bit confused by your original post. You have them this weekend.

Hahaha **** me... that's what happens when you are the team behind, you only focus on the other guys and just pray that you can hold.

GO NEWCASTLE!*

*on May 9th, and not at all on April 30th.

You're making me really want to see Nottingham get up now haha

Don’t do that, you will alter the world balance 😎

If we don’t get auto promotion I think we might struggle. Having lost Kienan Davis for the year, I believe, he was our point of difference up front.
He has the ability to out muscle defenders and break away at pace and create opportunities for others.
I think his strength will be sorely missed.
So far we have done ok without him but in those tight playoff games, I am not sure it will continue.
Obviously, I bloody well hope the form continues but still nervous.
