Calm the farm 🙄.
I have still not seen the full game yet.
I mentioned earlier about my influence over midweek results, from 16,000 kms away, so my Cousin told me not to get up 😎.
I did wake up around kick off time but decided I still needed some sleep, and didn’t want to jinx the game.
Eventually woke up at 6:30 and went to Twitter looking for good news and I saw that the second half of extra time had just started.
So I watched from then, I felt sick right up to the end.
We needed to finish that tie off in the first leg and at the moment I am feeling vibes a bit like 2017 Hinkley wins.
Looked into flights about a week ago but with the issues with Mum, and needing to update my return residents visa (yes I know) it’s a no go.

And to finish this off, a big fcuk you to the knob that bowled over Billy Sharp after the game. Glad you have been caught and I bloody well hope there is time behind bars heading your way.

I was in my car last night and had SEN on and they were talking EPL and wondered if there could be a replay of the 2011-12 season end and they were suggesting it could be. They even talked about goal difference and a huge win.

So I checked this morning the league table. Not really as both Manchester side's won and City's game was slightly behind and they scored the last 2 goals in injury time after United had won, to win the game and title.

If City beat Villa it's all over. To have the excitement of 2011-12, City have to lose or draw, the game finishes first and Liverpool win their game in overtime after City's game has ended. Both events happening are against the odds. Both are strong favourites to win. Back then both Manchester sides were favourites to win.

The added spice is that Aston Villa have been a comeback side this year that have delivered good results under Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard (arguably the greatest retired modern era Liverpool player), and one of their best players is much-loved ex-Liverpool player Philippe Coutinho.

It would be the equivalent of Boak retiring, going on to coach GWS, who picks up Karl Amon as a player, then us needing GWS to win the final game of the season to win the flag. Its a great story regardless of the result.

They might have talked about this component before I flicked it on to SEN. Thanks for filling me in on it, because I couldn't quiet work out why they were so excited, after I looked at the ladder this morning.

Yeah there is a lot of other stuff too.

Man City is going for 4 EPL wins in the last 5 years, coming runner up to Liverpool in the only one they missed in that period. Its a level of dominance unheard of since Man United in the 2000s.

If Liverpool wins we are still alive for the quadruple, which is a completely insane achievement never seen before - to raise the big four trophies in one season - Carabao Cup (already won), FA Cup (already won), EPL (an outside chance), and UCL (in the final at the end of the month).

Then there is the rivalry between the two sides, who for the last three years straight have finished top 3 in the EPL, and have bumped in to each other in other comps. The FA Cup Liverpool won the semi final against Man City, the UCL Man City were almost in the final against Liverpool until a dramatic finish saw them knocked out.

And finally there is the story of the EPL itself, which looked completely over after 15 or so games, with Man City looking completely unbeatable. In the second half of the season Liverpool has been on an almighty run to make it a contest. Its been epic all the way through.

Honestly I agree, I think Man City beats Villa, wins the EPL, and that's it. But the storylines that have played out to reach this point are insane and now everyone is hoping for one final twist in the tail.

France forward Kylian Mbappe has agreed to stay at Paris St-Germain, turning down a move to Real Madrid. He has signed a lucrative new three-year deal with the French champions.

Spain's La Liga reacted angrily to the news, calling the deal "scandalous" and announcing it plans to file a complaint to Uefa as well as French and EU authorities. "This type of agreement threatens the economic sustainability of European football," read a La Liga statement, adding that it put "hundreds of thousands of jobs and sporting integrity at risk in the medium term, not only from European competitions, but also from our domestic leagues".

According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, writing last month, PSG were prepared to offer Mbappe a 150m euro signing-on fee to keep him for another two seasons.

Yeah, with all due respect to Burnley, the idea of Leeds or Everton dropping made me pretty sad. A lot of my mates are still Leeds supporters from the Viduka Kewell days, and Everton is the side with the most top flight seasons of any EPL club.
