Walker was very average and needs to play a lot better at Peel to earn a recall.

I know there are a few who want Simpson rushed back in but again he didn't impress me. 15 disposals if which I suspect a number were kick-ins. 1 mark and one tackle. Has skills but doesn't work hard enough to impact even at WAFL level.

O'Driscoll was really untidy, not sure he has it in him.

I thought Draper was OK without being great, same with Davies.

Sharp is developing well, should stay at Peel to see if he can really develop that inside game.

So for me is would be:

Cox in for Darcy
Draper in for Worner

Cox was outstanding today for Peel and also in the preseason games.

I would play him against his old team.

I am a Darcy fan but we have a number of 5 day breaks coming up, I would freshen him for the Derby.

Sharp deserves another chance on form as well.

Scerri, JOM and Warner would be the most under pressure after today.

For Peel - Draper was barely sighted last quarter and much of the second half for that matter. Not sure if he had a niggle being managed or injury.He definitely didn’t do enough. Thought NOD’s last quarter was good.

For Freo - Worner aside from that 3rd quarter turnover was ok. Judd McVee had a kick in the first he just kicked straight to Adelaide player but was otherwise good.

I can see the potential for Darcy to be rested and Mason Cox in.

Chris Sceri likely the only other under pressure. Bailey Banfield travelling emergency (and very versatile) a good chance to come in.

Sceri (omitted) > Banfield

Back, Scerri maybe goes for Banfield/NOD until Freddy is ready. Wagner copped a knock - Banners or NOD could come in.

I am not a Worner fan so would prefer Walker but I don’t think JL thinks that way.

I love the look of Simpson but he wasn’t great today at Peel and has had 1 game since his interrupted pre-season? I think if he wasn’t given #29 he wouldn’t have half the level of support he seems to have.

Bringing Simpson, Murray, Sweid or Walker straight into the heat of a Collingwood primetime game is just asking for a disaster.

Realistically the only potential ins next week are NOD, Banfield and M Cox. Maybe Sharp.

The others are the type you ease into the season with a lower intensity home game.

Lol I doubt that has anything to do with it.

It's more that he's the best kick in the squad and has real potential to unlock our whole free-flowing attacking gameplan if he can develop in that quarterback distributor role.
