He was off the ground though. Might get a week for careless, high impact

Had a bit of a look and seems like the serious injury comes when Pedler lands and the side of his head hits the ground. I guess they have to assess if Brayshaw's right leg contributed to the fall in the sense you've indicated.

No one has mentioned it.

Its not being talked about by anyone.

I doubt he gets anything.

Match report currently saying "Jaw". Might be concussion but I don't think it's Brayshaw's knee and Pedler's kind of trying to break his fall by reaching out for Brayshaw's leg. I was trying to look at it from the point of view that was posted by fleur, but you're right, there's not been any serious commotion about it.

AFL.com has McVee as one of our best players…

I don’t think there will be any changes to the current team, unless someone is injured

Out: Worner (please!)
In: Walker

I’m also very much concerned about McVee but think Worner is worse. Cox for Darcy I’d also consider to allow big Mason to play his old side - would play with a serious chip on his shoulder.

I am onboard for resting Darcy at some point. Probably West Coast or Carlton would be preferable to Collingwood though.

In: Walker and Sharp
Out: Worner and Scerri

Worner unlucky to be dropped but Walker fills a need while Worner is a third medium defender. Scerri needs to work on his involvement and positioning but definitely has some great attributes. His kick could become a real weapon.

McVee worries me, there's a soft defensive underbelly there that I was worried about when we traded for him, and we aren't seeing the elite distribution we were supposed to be getting as compensation for the underbelly.

He’s a panicker. That’s my biggest issue, I can deal with skill errors. Fumbles and/or makes bad decisions under pressure, hard to get behind that.

I’m not completely off him but I sure as hell hope we don’t view him as a mainstay. He’s definitely fringe.

Unpopular but if Walker comes in, I'd do it for Wagner since it won't be for McVee. Not sure who are options for Scerri but I'm not opposed to giving him some WAFL time now.

Will Daicos and Pendlebury be back next week?

Scerri needs a break. You can’t deny that Darcy still doesn’t look fit. Mason cox dominated wafl 24 disposals 45 hit outs and a goal. Give the man a go against his old team IMG_6864.webp

Wags had a big bag of ice on the knee that took him down for a bit. Hopefully, just a knock cause I think he's doing a good job on the wing. However, if he doesn't get up, that's an opening for Walker (with some rearrangements).

Since Worner only had one howler this week, his overall performance balance was even more on the positive side. He reads the play so well for intercepts and is so brave. Just not sold yet on Walker as a better option.

Great game for Switta. Was in the middle of lots of the intercept rebounds. Scerri has had two quiet games in a row. Making room for Freddie when he's ready?

McRae says Pendlebury will be available. Daicos was a corkie so you’d think he’d be available

Worner is worse than McVee. No pressure kicks to opposition in consecutive weeks... and why is he on the left side of the defense with only a right foot..

It is telling that people are saying Worner played well this week given he had less involvement than any other game this year. He had only 10 disposals and had 2 clangers from 3 turnovers (Disposal Efficiency of 70%). Less than 200 metres gained and 2 contested possessions (neither of which were marks). He was a lot better in round 1 and 2 but the last two weeks have been poor.

I rate what Worner has achieved given where he was when he was drafted. I also think he could reach a point where he becomes a 100 game player for us but at this point his strengths (rarely gets out marked, solid tackler, etc.) don't outweigh his weaknesses (kicking, leg speed) to be playing as the third medium sized defender.

Agree. Ryan is the third medium sized defender or Chapman. Worner is essentially playing the small defender role? It's why I think Walker is the best option for a balance and adds heaps more speed and go forward.
I totally admire Worner's bravery, marking and reading the ball though and I'd presume him or Chapman take Ryan's role very soon..

Worner’s supposed positive traits of bravery and marking (dropped a few he should’ve snaffled last night) are not offset by his earth shaking boneheadedness in clutch moments.

Two changes for next week:
Worner - Simpson
Scerri - Drizzy

Mason Cox is not the messiah. Neither are Walker, Simpson or Murray.

Banfield in for Scerri.

Had his calf strapped during run around.. or maybe the corkie is in the calf :)
That would fit the lower leg description. Must be a bad corkie to not come up a week later. They’re not sure about it for next week either:

This thread can always be categorised into 2 categories. Sensible posters who have a 'most likely' view of what might happen and then posters who always want a minimum of 2-4 changes, even after a win.
Fwiw I think Tracey and Shai might need a spell at peel. Need those 2 kicking more goals

Im reasonably certain its actually a calf and they were/are being dodge with team selections.
