This will be big Cyclone Treacy Friday night!
Nah this is Vossy's week. Adelaide will have to double team Treacy freeing Voss or Amiss to play on a 185cm HBF. I can see Voss getting a bit of a run on.

Knowing Cesoir that's probably intentional too, he knows you were bagging Worner.
****, you're on to me! 😳
its a conspiracy! I see how it is!!!!

keep fighting the good fight you mighty McVee maniacs, best player in the comp!!!!!

I’m sure Izak Rankine is very scared of this dude omggggggg wow 😮😮😮😮

Fremantle are shaping to go unchanged into an interstate game for the first time in almost two years as the club chases a third straight win against Adelaide in Friday night’s blockbuster.

Nathan O’Driscoll and Bailey Banfield were among the 24-player travelling squad to fly out of Perth this afternoon, while star midfielder Shai Bolton is heading over separately.

It’s understood the delayed travel was due to personal reasons and he is in no doubt to face the Crows.

Defender Brandon Walker was also not on the flight and is expected to make his return from a quad injury through the WAFL.

The last time the Dockers were unchanged heading into in interstate fixture was round 10 of 2024, where they followed a hefty home loss to Sydney with a win over St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

Fremantle are looking to stamp themselves as genuine premiership contenders with an away win over the Crows at Adelaide Oval, following back-to-back demolitions of Melbourne and Richmond at home.

The Crows could be bolstered by the return of star trio Jordan Dawson, Rory Laird and Taylor Walker, while defender Mitch Hinge will also be available for selection.

However, last year’s minor premiers will be without important backman Jordon Butts, who has been ruled out with concussion.

These are the games that we go in as fans semi-confident and seem to always drop.

Would be huge for confidence to walk away with a emphatic win. The lid will be off for me

The team didn't need to make any changes, we played well last week, you don't change a winning formula.

Agreed, these are the ones that hurt most. I believe we have turned a corner and are about to announce ourselves to the competition.

Would not be surprised to see us fall flat and embarrass ourselves on Friday Night Footy again.
Nah we’ll win this one because it’s one of those fake Friday night games.

It’s the following week against Collingwood where we’ll probably get embarrassed.

Unchanged

I personally would've brought in Walker to mind Rankine

We may as well bin the weekly changes prediction thread because we know he’s not gonna change anything unless forced.

Is Scerri > O’Driscoll the only unforced change in the first 4 games? Young, Walker and McDonald were injured.

Correction: JOM > O’Driscoll. Scerri was in for the injured Young.

There will be genuine pressure coming from the guys at Peel - Walker, Simpson, Sweid, Murray, hopefully Kickett. Even Nicholls and Ollie Murphy could start making a case for selection.

If anyone in the 1's isn't getting it done and someone else is starring at Peel they will be picked.
Its early days, they obviously like the balance of the team playing and they got it done.
It's hard to knock that even if I would have preferred Walker.

Walker is the only one I’d want as well, but given he didn’t play any level last week, I can see why he’s coming back via Peel.
Now the WAFL season is actually starting, those players can stake a claim for a starting 23 position.

Genuinely think we only played well enough to be confident we'd beat the worst handful of teams in the competition.

We put up that first half against Adelaide and we're 20-30 points down. I'm not saying we definitely would've lost from there but I don't think a comeback works against a decent team every time.

Play like we did the second half and we beat Adelaide easily but how much was that us and how was it playing a bottom two side with half their best players missing?

Also think this is our best available team btw and have every confidence that three or four quarters of our best footy will win this game.

So easy to say that but who's coming out?

FWIW I think if one of Chapman, McVee or Worner had a three week injury, they might also find it hard to get back in. It's a good problem to have.

Worner is a bloody good footballer and that's why he is getting a game. Fearless, committed to the contest, great one on one and a good quality intercept marker.

His ball in hand composure is improving along with his kicking decision making; they are still relatively poor. They will need to improve more if he wants to graduate from a 80 to 120 game role player to a 150+ one.
You mean this guy?

If walker was 100% and had played at least one full game at WAFL level, I would have dropped Worner who had a shocker against the tigers. As you say though, it’s going to be hard to push your way in, especially if we keep winning

Unchanged was the way to go and love it for Scerri hes got to be pumped about that

Wheres the pessimism thread?..not here.
Yokai!

Worner made one or two bad errors but played a pretty decent game I thought.

The stats show he operated at 100% btw.

Tbh I think he's a better overall package than Worner. Walker has better speed. Think Worner is better is most other things.

People have short memories too. Do they remember Walker making the same errors once or twice a game that Worner does? My memory is that if anything Walker made those errors more frequently.
