My post was meant as light hearted banter. Then stop dragging his name up, I thought you supported him?
I agree, but I think some people lost it on here with all the abuse he was getting, just over the topMy post was meant as light hearted banter.
I think everyone is tired of the B discussion, whatever the point of view.
Maynard - Roughead - Quaynor
Sharenberg - Moore - Howe
Phillips - Crisp - Pendlebury
Stephenson - Reid - Sidebottom
Elliot - Mihochek - Degoey
Grundy - Adams - Treloar
Hoskin Elliot - Wills - T Brown - Thomas
EMG: Cameron - Noble - Bianco - Rantall
I have us 3rd and beating Richmond in the granny fingers crossed anyway!I don’t know about round 1, but I reckon we’ll finish 6th after the H&A, and beat Richmond in the GF.
Like your side.apologies if there is another one of these threads:
I guess mine is pretty vanilla-
Crisp, Roughead, Maynard
Howe, Moore, Hoskin-Elliot
Sidebottom, Pendles, Phillips
DeGoey, Mihocek, Stephenson
Elliott, Cox, Brown
Grundy, Adams, Treloar
Sier, Mayne, Quaynor, Thomas
Beating anyone in the granny will do it for me.I have us 3rd and beating Richmond in the granny fingers crossed anyway!
Absolutely i would take anyoneBeating anyone in the granny will do it for me.
I agree, but the question is if he will find enough of the ball at HB, not a big possession winner so hopefully he can develop that and be good one on one. i prefer to play him forwardI believe he has. I think it's a good idea to have WHE at half back, he is extremely gifted overhead and fast. We know he is a little hesitant around the hard ball, but perhaps defending goals will give him an extra bit of impetus. Such a great talent and with his speed, Maynard, Howe, Quaynor, Moore and Crisp, it's a lightning quick back half with good ball carry- one of our weaknesses last year.
Richmond in the Granny after slaughtering Carton in the preliminary finalAbsolutely i would take anyone
But if i had the power to choose nothing would please me more than beating them
Bit early at this stage but barring anything unforeseen, I think we have a group of players who name themselves and a cluster of others who need to stake a claim via preseason performances and the Marsh cup. Using the 7 defenders - 8 midfielders - 7 forwards type 22 we normally go with I'd have it like this...
Defense:
Locks - Howe ~ Crisp ~ Moore ~ Roughy ~ Maynard
In Contention - Murphy ~ Noble ~ IQ ~ Schaz ~ Keane ~ Appleby ~ Madgen
Midfield:
Locks - Pendles ~ Sidey ~ Grundy ~ Adams ~ Treloar ~ Phillips
In Contention - Sier ~ Wills ~ Mayne ~ T Brown ~ Daicos ~ Wilson
Forwards:
Locks - Elliott ~ Mihocek ~ Stephenson ~ Hoskin-Elliott ~ De Goey
In Contention - Brown ~ Thomas ~ Cameron ~ Cox ~ C Brown ~ A2B2 ~ Reid
So that makes 16 locks and 6 positions up for grabs and about 18-20 blokes fighting for them.
Like the way you set it out! Well thought out in terms of locks and then the chasing pack.
Only one I would add is possibly Rantall in the midfield group

I wouldn’t class Hoskin Elliott as more likely to play than Thomas or Cox. Definitely doesn’t belong in your lock group.Bit early at this stage but barring anything unforeseen, I think we have a group of players who name themselves and a cluster of others who need to stake a claim via preseason performances and the Marsh cup. Bianco Roughead Crisp
Quyanor Moore Howe
WHE Sier Noble
Elliot Cox Stepho
DeGoey Cameron Mihocek
Grundy Treloar Maynard
Int. Pendles, Sidey, Rantell, Brown
I'd roll with something like this.
B: Scharenberg - Roughead - Howe
HB: Crisp - Moore - Maynard
C: Phillips - Pendlebury - Sidebottom
HF: DeGoey - Reid - WHE
F: Elliott - Cox - Stephenson
R: Grundy - Adams - Treloar
INT: Sier - Mihocek - Mayne - C.Brown
EMG: J.Thomas - I.Quaynor - L.Greenwood
I'll give Cox 6 games before Reid shifts to FF, Mihocek to CHF and Quaynor in.
You're the 2nd to go with the 3 tall forwards. I think I prefer the Reid option more but that's mainly because Cameron remains an unknown quantity to me.
