LOLz try 80 +

I'd be disappointed if Richmond get within 40 points of us, but Whipper I don't think the footy world will take notice if we beat the Tigers by 50 points. We're talking about Richmond here, a 50 point victory is about par when beating them.
I should have added that 50 points is the bare mininum. I fully expect us to thrash the shit out of them by a lot more- just being conservative.

Wow, a lot confidence on here, especially from carlton supporters...

I will be disappointed if you blue baggers come within 4 goals of us...bring on March 20, 2008!!!

Regardless of how bad a team is, round 1 doesn't often bring about huge thrashings as teams are still gelling and settling into the new season.

Also to factor in this is the first game of the season , pre-easter game, players will be hyped and I suspect a lot of non Richmond and Carlton supporters may be in the crowd to 1. see Judd 2. Footy starved.

All players will be filled with adreniline and pumping... so saying that

Carlton by 30 points!

ps: I really hope it's by 120points!

Has this thread been bumped from March 2007?

I seem to recall comments identical to this going into round 1 2007.

And now we have Judd and you have McMahon.........should be close.

As much as I'd love to share everyones enthusiasm, I think it will be a close game. Richmond had an impressive end to 2007. There was much to like about them, particularly their fight and endeavor. They work as hard as any team, it's just their disposal that hurts them. With Simmo, a fit Brown dog, a clean Cotchin and Coggs injected into their list and they immediately start to look a lot more settled and capable. In 2007 their kids worked harder and have developed quicker than ours IMO.

Richmond wont be bottom 4 in 2008 - that much I am sure of. Carlton by 9pts.

The Tiges should be extremely pleased if they get within 60 points of the Blues. They just don't have the talent depth to match us in any area. This game isn't that important. We have bigger challenges ahead. Beating Richmond doesn't mean much, other than rubbing more salt into their "missing Judd, Kruezer and collecting the spoon" wounds. :)

That would be the first 90,000 crowd that has been majority Carlton for a while...

Just about every member and supporter of Carlton will want to see Judds first H&A game for Carlton, and there will be quite a few Richmond supporters there also. 90,000 isn't out of reach IMO.

I reckon that senile old coot KB thinks that Richmond are still in the box seat to get Judd.

Ummm, Judd >>> all the players you mentioned combined times three ;)

Anyway, that was actually 17 points we won by. And to be exact seventeen behinds, not 2 goals five or something like that. So maybe if we had been more accurate and outscored you by say 12 goals 5 instead, those nobodys you just mentioned may have been able to wipe off 2-3 goals off the final deficit.

From memory, Richmond was leading by 27 points early into the 3rd quarter. So when the Blues decided to play, they outscored you by over 7 goals in under a half.

Your Terry Tan spin on the game doesnt sound quite so good now does it?

No i dont think some of them were missing..i just dont think they got a game.
Considering ur including players in the draft and players who just got games in 2007 and players who were left out, ill have a go .
Judd, Hadely, kruezer, Armfield, Anderson, Jamison, Paul Bower, Shaun Hampson, Shaun Grigg.. i dont think russell played. Jordan Bannister, adam hartlett, ryan jackson. HMMMMM:thumbsu:
