Does anyone know whatever happened to David Round?

If my memory serves his statistics in senior games for us were very low. One kick only I think. It was in a game against richmond (?) at the MCG and the ball went straight into Chris Grants head. I went off him from that moment.

The club never gave him enough of a chance

I think the club gave him plenty of chances. V Richmond was puffing after 2 minutes. Wasn't fast but at the same time wasn't strong. North picked him up didn't they?

Struggling to get a game for Williamstown after we dumped him probably indicates what chances he got were more than he was worthy of.

I dont think two seasons is enough for any tall young player as it takes longer for them to develop. The exception is players that are injury prone.
I know Round would never had made it but at the same time we recruited and de-listed several tall players without giving them enough time. McKenzie-McHarg was one youngster that I think could have been developed into a KPP if we had given another season or two.

No doubt about the fact that big guys take a number of seasons before reaching their peak. However when you are a spud you are a spud even if you are not at your peak yet.
