Nice team.

I like the move for Newman - especially given his low BE but have you considered the player averages in terms of your upgrades? 5 trades is getting low... you might consider Swallow > Bartel before his price shoots up.

The way I see it you've got 3 upgrades remaining there, it will be about getting lucky with injuries and timing the moves right so that you can afford them.

No point bringing in Geelong players considering I wont be able to miss that second final unfortunately (won't make top4)

I want to try and keep Puopolo, D Swallow, Lobbe and Mzungu as my reserves. Should give me reasonable cover and to bring in Newman, Okeefe and a top midfielder (undecided)

Is it too late to bring in a carlton player this close to the finals? Was gonna do Shaw to Suckling but now looking at Scotland. Must win game this week to get into top 8.

Anyone know the reports on sucking and murphy? how long are they expected to be out for etc?

This is shattering so close to finals when i need to win my last 2 to get in. and ive only got 4 trades left

No idea on Murphy and not much on Suckers. The early word seems to be 1-2 but most are in the dark so am not sure what that's based on.

I have $550k to spend on my final mid, so can get anyone. Already have: Swan, Judd, Pendles, Boyd, Ablett. Wanting to avoid players with the bye, so the best options seem to be:

Dal Santo
Montagna
Hodge
Mitchell
Priddis
Thompson
Swallow

Any input much appreciated.

J.Riewoldt > Fyfe or something (finally had enough of him)

week after;

Heppell > Newman

Hopefully can finish strong over the last month after that and hang on with 2 trades.

Double trade the following week. Will upgrade Puopolo or Stanley to my final premium defender, still undecided who to go for yet it will depend on finances as I need to leave enough for Mzungu >>> Ablett. Ideally I would like to upgrade Puopolo and keep Stanley as backup for the year but may need the extra 40k in Stanleys value to get these trades done.

These will finish my team leaving 3 trades to the finish!! Normally would keep the 6 trades but im inside the top 200 and want to keep pushing!

If your not to worried about having cash left over I'd get Nicky Dal. I was fortunate enough to trade him in when he bottomed out in round 11 and he has been sensational ever since. If your after value I reckon Montagna is a good trade, still capable of big scores as we saw last week and will leave you some nice coin in the bank for another upgrade somewhere.

Going great there with 6 trades left you're side's basically done! I think you need to upgrade Lower in the next week or so depending on BEs etc. After that I wouldn't touch anything until you have to or until you can begin to make luxury upgrades such as Bartel > Ablett.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to go Smith > Mumford. I have 6 trades and 67k. If I make this trade then I almost have to make another 2 trades very soon, of Shaw > Birchall and a cow downgrade to free up money to do that and then maybe Boak/Krak > M/F premium down the track. But also need to probably move Gibbs in finals, maybe Judd too... Getting nervous.

Someone convince me not to go

Toy -> Talia
I Smith -> Callinan

Seems like the right round to do one final double downgrade because there isn't much pressure on bench spots and all premos are playing bar Suckling.

Callinan should be playing soon and is still as useful as Smith because he's also a mid/fwd even when he's not playing. He just won't be leeching money like Smith.

It'll net me just under $300k and let me do a couple of final upgrades before finals.

How many trades do you have? If you've got less than six I wouldn't do a double downgrade. Maybe Toy > Talia if you feel you really need the cash but even then I'd hold out as a lot could happen, e.g. what if Callinan doesn't come up, or Talia gets injured?

Alright so I have a dilemma:

My side is complete but I have Heath Shaw sitting on my bench and Lower on in place of him. In light of Lower's mammoth 146 on the weekend I feel like it's a waste to use one of my final 5 trades just yet when I have Gibbs and Judd to offload for finals.

Should I look at trading him now and move Lower to the bench, look to trade him for a multi position player and look to provide cover for finals or sit and wait it out for now?

I have plenty of money so that's not an issue.

Shaw should go also Foley or harris future Mzungu and higgins

For back's you've got scotland, birchall and newman to choose from Two have byes the other is not averaging as high this can wait a week or so as pop's can cover you and shaw won't lose value

Mid's your choice could sack both and swoop on Montagna and bartel or swap out one to another big name mitchell, priddis

forward's need love soon in goodes fyfe or franklin maybe all if $$$ provide

for me it's MZUNGU to franklin it's prob a week or 2 early to trade the freo cash cow.but need to pull the trigger sitting 8th in the league l care about.next week l hope l can get fish and use grundy as my swing man to cover gibbs,zhar & chappy in final's.
