Unless you offer him a decent pay rise I don’t think he would be interested going to another rebuilding clubDraper leaving ( please let it happen) I'd love Marshall, definite upgrade.
Back in some really good form he might not be a great at centre bounces but you all most forget his a ruckman sometimes with how polished his skills and decision making is around the ground. I would be putting a end to any trade talks

If he asks for a trade I’m sure we would do the right thing buy him considering how good he has been for us over the years . But I wouldn’t be taking anything less than Geelongs first and I would be surprised if they are willing to pay thatThat's fair. If I'm Marshall I'm asking for a trade but if I'm st kilda I'm holding him to his contract.
I don't think geelong would do much more than their first but the Venn diagram definitely overlapsIf he asks for a trade I’m sure we would do the right thing buy him considering how good he has been for us over the years . I would much rather keep him but if he wants a trade Geelong first falls in an area that would be reasonable fair for both sides I believe. It’s more a case of will they be happy to trade it for a 29 year old or are they expecting a token pick type trade in that case a trade won’t happenI don't think geelong would do much more than their first but the Venn diagram definitely overlaps
Even if he only plays 50 games i think it would be worth itI would much rather keep him but if he wants a trade Geelong first falls in an area that would be reasonable fair for both sides I believe. I wouldn't put that tight a definition on success. It's only worth it if you win the flag in 2026/7. That's the risk when you trade in a ruck that age.
Really depends how burned Rohan is on the whole thing. They refuse to trade the contracted players. It's not that hard. I wonder what Ralph is on sometimes. It's pretty unlikely that Geelong will offer enough to tempt st kilda to let Marshall go.

If it's cultural poison then you're better off cutting losses
Player trading isn't AFL23. They're real people with real careers and the club is their employer. If you have a player retention problem then holding a player that's likely to see out his career in the vfl rather than granting a trade is not going to help you sign the next NWM long term. Not really. If he goes what are they going to do with the cap space? No one good wants to go there. They are going to hold him and he will just have to tolerate it.

Pushing players who want to leave out the door is the fastest way to generate a culture of people wanting to be there.
So if sdk wanted to join his brother at st kilda you would have no issues letting him walk ?Player trading isn't AFL23. They're real people with real careers and the club is their employer. When he was a 30 game developing player handing over with an elite ruck who was tapering off.Marshall's not going to see out his career in the vfl though. He already has and can work in a 2 ruck system this is not a Grundy scenario.
Half of cats fans would help him pack his bags.So if sdk wanted to join his brother at st kilda you would have no issues letting him walk ?
