That Royal Sovereign Stakes field on Saturday was a ripper. Mutawaajid, Sniper's Bullet, Mearas and Court Command are the cream of Sydney's 3 year old colts crop. What a classy list of horses. All will go on to win at least one Group 1, take my word for it. The stars of the future.

What happened to CC first up blues???

Never seemed like it.... As if he gave up as soon as he didn't get the lead....

I wouldn't be going to over the top just yet...

Mutawaajid was coming out of a NMW and Sniper's Bullet out of a Class 4. Court Command's run was too bad to be true (and the fluctuations reflected that).

The time they ran wasn't brilliant either - about 1.2 seconds off the track record.

Saying they're out of NMW races is pointless because that's all we've had for 3 year olds so far...I see Mearas winning a Randwick Guineas, and Mutawaajid the Rosehill Guineas and/or the Derby if he can stay. Sniper's Bullet has proven himself able and we all know Court Command is, first up blues aside.

It's not all we've had, it's all they've been in - don't forget we have already had the Spring.

Yes...Mutawaajid and Sniper's Bullet weren't around for those...Court Command and Mearas were, though, and they both showed how talented they are.

These might be nice horses but who would you prefer in your corner?
Haradasun, Efficient or Miss Finland........ or these northern 3 year olds?

Over 1200m, Haradasun would have a hell of a problem running down Court Command at his peak. Miss Finland mightn't. Efficient wouldn't.

That was my point SS, the Rosehill, & Randwick Guineas & obviously the Derby are not over 1200m. If the 3 I mentioned can stand up through our autumn races & get to Sydney in good shape I think these horses you have mentioned will have a tough time beating any of them.

A far bit of water to flow under the bridge yet though. Let's hope these clashes occur would make for a great Sydney Autumn.

I doubt we'll see Haradasun or Efficient here for our 3YO races, Haradasun is going for the Doncaster and Efficient is only having two runs this preparation by all reports, both in Melbourne. Miss Finland I doubt will be here either.
