A very one sided game although Travis Gaspar was by far the best Bulldog.

Buszan and Haynes wetre excellent and both Munto and Humm showed enough to warrant being kept on the list. As for recruits certainly Sampi has natural ability but the again many young aboriginals do! The question is whether or not he has it upstairs! For the Royals Webster looks a good pickup, maybe at 22 if still available.

Well thanks to ABC I didn't get to see a delayed telecast of it! I saw Gaspar got two goals to be the only multiple goal kicker for souths and that a few other WC boys got a few goals for the Royals. How I wished I could have watched it. Wesley came second last if you were wondering...

I was impressed with Webster too and felt that Munro made a difference when he floated across half forward.

But overall it was a very disappointing game. South were just overrun by a stronger team - they needed players who could kick long from defence. At times I thought they'd never get out of their own fifty. But I guess they were hit hard by the losses of Mott & Clucas.

And a disappointing crowd. It's only rain you know.

Many at the game were wearing Eagles and freo colours. I would suggest that had the two finalists not been aligned that the crowd would have been below 15,000

One reason is that the game conflicted with the Essendon-Hawthorn live telecast. On a cold wet day the option of staying at home and watching the AFL game live followed by the WAFL second half live must have been attractive.

I believe that if the WAFL GF had been on Sunday the crowd would have been a lot higher.

South Fremantle scored the lowest score in the history of WAFL grand finals, and two of those goals came from an Eagle (Travis Gaspar)! The Eagle players did really well in that game, how good was that goal from Buszan?!?
