In his roast column today he was trying to ridicule the club by saying that we currently have the lowest average score in VFL/AFL history since Fitzroy in 1967. One look at the ladder will show that we have scored more than Richmond this year so once again he has been caught out trying to fabricate "facts" in an effort to try and ridicule our club.

Surely given that he knows how to access the bigfooty forums he would know how to check the ladder on AFL.COM.AU before writing these apparent "facts" in the paper

His inability to check simple facts never ceases to amaze me.... put it in the counter.

Meh.

There is no accountability in the media anymore, they basically publish whatever they want, and then, if required, put a little retraction somewhere a few days/weeks later.

Relapse you are obssessed with Rucci. I usually find not buying the Advertiser is the simplest solution.

Good pick up, in my defense I havent had a Rucci sook for a while now (trying to be good), but I couldnt let this one go through to the keeper ;)

All last year we heard about how Tip is leaving us for GC. Then he signed with us.

This year there are whispers around town about Salter having signed with GC. He is atop the Snaffle goal kicking, yet not in the Power's side. Despite being nearly 23 years old. Yet the one newspaper in town is silent on the issue.

It is too busy trying to stir up a story about Walker being disgruntled, despite playing 4/6 games and being only 20 years old learning his craft.

Not as obsessed as the caller to 5AA last night claiming Pork dont get fair coverage in the media.:

I'll settle for half of what they get

Heard some guy on there last night complaining about the powertiser and he made a great point. He said if he wrote the same sarcastic stuff and dug the steel caps into them like he does with us there would be no complaints. We do get more coverage but ours is all negative he would never write stuff about them the same way he does with us

He also wrote an article yesterday trying to make a big issue out of Reilly's comments about training being boring. Rucci has called them 'crow-bots' in the past but then Reilly makes an unscripted comment Rucci tries to create a false sense of unrest and player rebellion.

Oddly enough, he actually did the reverse on this occasion. I read it as him explaining how a mountain had been made out of a molehill, as a result of Reilly veering wildly away from the usual script.

I heard that guy... what an idiot. For starters, FiveAA are pretty good at getting it even with the number of Crows/Port players and coaches they have on. They only have around 30% of the football market yet they get around 50% coverage. I'd say there getting MORE than their fair share. Even if we do sometimes get more coverage, at the end of the day, these media outlets are businesses and require a profit to survive and their biggest AFL market in Adelaide is the Adelaide Crows, so of course they are going to cater to us more. It's all about economics. The Adelaide Crows brings the media more money into their business therefore they will give us more attention. Port are punching far above their weight in coverage terms considering the small market they command in SA. It's just like in Victoria... non-Victorian teams don't rate a mention as much as they have a smaller market share and bring in less revenue. It's all about money.

I notice Rucci didn't make a big issue about Primus been caught out about his gambling, a small article on page 5 if I remember right. When Goodwin got caught he was absolutely sent to the wolves......

I'm aware that living in Melbourne makes it easy to ignore this attention seeking idiot. He's like the kid at primary school that made outrageous claims in order to gain friends, even giving them a couple bucks for a spring roll from the canteen. But, why do you lot pay even the slightest bit of attention to "rooch"? He is like Caroline Wilson, but worse (and slightly less manly).

Recently on two occasions I have seen Capel, Milbank and Partland having lunch together - no invite for the rooch ?

That was my take, also.* You'd have to have read the article through anti-Rucci lenses to see it otherwise.

* I hasten to add that the copy of the Advertiser I read was a freebie in a coffee shop. Please don't assume I bought one :)

Honestly, why would you???
:D

I am amazed he gave that much coverage or should I say he was allowed to give it that much coverage

It seems that Port supporters have excused it because it was "only" $20.
And since he's a Port supporter, he wrote the "token" article.
The Sat morning Sports Show on 5AA is verging on the Rucci Show...I have no choice but to listen because it is on at work for a while.... but it is becoming increasingly ridiculous that it is used as a forum for him to spout his agenda and ridicule anyone in his sights.

For a bet which Rucci ...ADMITTED...(i had to put it in caps and italics because it's Rooch's new predilection) was placed by somebody else using Goodwin's account.
