Do we really need a dominant ruckman? well I would like to hear from you guys, because We are ranked number one in clearing the ball from stopages with clearly not many hit outs, to win a game requires you to get hands on the ball in the midfield you can do that by having such midfielders as buckley, WOewodin,O'bree and Burns intercepting and reading the opposing ruckman, so should we really trade a star player for a ruckman???

No we don't. We need a genuine, hard, tap ruckman who can win hitouts and take a few marks, and be prepared to spent long periods of time on the bench. We don't need a superstar.

We need a Jamie Charman or a Beau Mcdonald, not a Darcy or a White.I really like the prospect of Macca or Chars in a pies guernsey.Josh is becoming a top ruckman and a good player but we need a back up ruckman and relieve Rocca from rucking duties. Charman has recently turned 21 i believe and Mcdonald is 23 in november. The tricky bit is proposing a fair trade, and i am not willing to trade a good player.I could part with Davis.

How did you feel losing the 2002 Grand Final?

The question is what type of ruckman.

If we get a ruck man it would need to be a dominant one with the hit outs not around the ground we have one already in Fraser.
We need some one like a Biglands or Clarke who dominates the hit outs every week

We don't need a ruckman, Josh Fraser will be fine with more weight next year. Guy Richards will be a chance for debut. He has impressed me.
We do win the clearances at stoppages though.

I think Dean Cox of West coast could be worth chasing. He is only a back up ruckman to Gardner and will get limited playing time at west coast while Gardner is playing. He has impressed me in the game time he has had this year but limited oppurtunities will keep him out of the West Coast side.He is only 20 i believe and could be the No1 ruckman at collingwood.
Working out a suitable trade is the hard part as i heard rumours that collingwood are also chasing Nathan Brown in a swap for Molloy and Leon Davis.

Yeah that would be great to have Dean Cox in the collingwood Jumper but I dont like the chances
as for the trade about Molloy and davis for Brown, that will never happen, A molloy is important to the team and the coach rates him highly and Brown wont fit into the sallary cap unless we realease on of our stars

I disagree there. If collingwood had a chance at securing a reasonable player such as Brown,Molloys name would be one of the first players collingwood would consider trading.
Molloys body is a tired one even only at 27 much because of the way he plays. He has struggled to make much of an impact in a lot of games this season. He is not going to be the difference between collingwood winning a flag and not winning one.
