Others - names like West, Hollenkemp, Olango, Patterson, Richards, Sweet or (if only for the name alone) Zerk-Thatcher show signs that would warrant a spot for a team that wants to rookie a ruckman

I am not a fan of taking rucks in the top 20 or so picks in the draft, you have far too long a wait to see if they have what it takes. We have been burnt with top 10 picks Longer and Luenberger in the past.

Leave the young rucks to 3rd round and over or recruit a mature aged player from the state leagues or trade one from another club eg. Stefan Martin.

Apart from Hayes, Coleman-Jones and Crossley can't see any other rucks being picked up in the up coming drafts.
I'd say there's a really high chance that there's someone other than those 3 that will get picked up towards the back end of the national draft.

If you include rookie draft I'd be astounded if others didn't get picked up. If you mean just national draft you may be right as far as pure rucks go but I expect several KP players who can take a run in the ruck - such as Miller and De Koning - should be picked up.

Note sure I'd count Wooller as a ruck but otherwise agree. Scott Jones might get a gig in the ND I suspect.

Definitely more a Fwd that can play Ruck rather than the other way around, I just glanced at my lists before answering and have him noted as a ruck option :)

I think I read somewhere that richmond were into him for ruck depth

Do North actually need another Ruckman ?

Goldstein
Preuss
Daw
Larkey
Brown

These days its just 1 ruckman playing
Brown and Larkey will never play in the ruck again. Brown isn't good at it, has terrible knees, and is our number 1 forward so you don't take him away from that position.

Goldstein isn't performing at the moment.
Daw can't run out a game and is injured all the time.
Preuss is still developing.
It is always good to have a project ruck developing.

Technically North has 3 rucks on their list.
Richmond has hampson, nakervis, soldo. 3 also. Potentially chol too.

Chol will never be a Ruckman but more a Fwd/Defender
Hampson will be delisted next year - Injuries cant get on the park
Soldo is 3 years away

We only really have Nank

Chol won't make it
Hampson won't be delisted but can only fit one of Nankervis or He in the one side
Soldo played 7 games this year, enough to suggest he's closer than you may think

One thing we could agree on is the necessity Richmond do (not) need a ruck
