So how do we gauge the off-season from hell now?

Obviously some sponsorship money was lost, but the numbers are holding. No doubt a few people would've loved to see some dramatic drop off, but that certainly hasn't been the case. SoO just around the corner should give the game another boost at that level at least.

People dont give as much a damn about a few bad apples as the media would like us to think. Holds true in AFL and League.

Nine are screwing up, putting this in standard definition in the "AFL states". The audience would build. Watching sport in high definition is pleasurable.

Nine the home of RL they say. Except we hide the game on Gem so no one will watch it. Greenberg and Beattie let it happen too. One of the easiest ways to grow the game is show it in those growing markets.

Crap crowd in Cronulla let's be honest.

I hate to say it but I think a lot of our supporters gave up on the game. We fielded a second string side against the competition pacesetters and no one expected us to win. Cronulla are looking at selling a couple of home games into Fiji citing a lack of crowd support in the Shire. Maybe resticting the number of available home games will shock our supporters into action.

You are right it was a crap crowd.

Crap crowd in Cronulla let's be honest.

Pissing down with rain all day, playing the top side who has never drawn a crowd in and fielding a reserve side the week after being humiliated by s**t opposition.

Yet despite all that, crowd was similar to when we played them as reigning premiers 2 years ago!

QLD & NSW state league comps taking a FTA hit after being shunted from 9 to GEM to make way for Netball.
