JWH was contact to the head he’s lucky it wasn’t NRL would have copped 2 matches at least. I hate these incidents RL needs to be serious about the game and cheap shots are not rugby league.

Oddly enough he went unpunished in the NRL despite multiple acts of foul play, but when it was time for the Kiwis the NRL suddenly found the guts to suspend him.

To be fair it’s not as if he doesn’t deserve to be suspended not the only one. Nelson is the worst

I hope he isn't picked as it gives us a better chance of a win. Seems like he can do as he pleases in the NRL.

Well they've obviously decided to let people off for the semi-finals, which may or may not be a good idea, depending how you think. I would say that I think there's been very little serious foul play in the comp so far, and there's no reason why that shouldn't continue. I hope and expect that England will beat Samoa, but they are a very good side, and the earlier game counts for nothing. Just can't see any optimism for NZ against the Kangaroos, though.

To be fair the RLWC tournament is administered by the International Rugby League and not the NRL, so I don't think you can blame the NRL for bringing a suspension charge against JWH in this instance.

If charges from NRL games are brought forward, then you certainly can. As I said, NZ is better off without him.

Watched the first half of the Jillarros against France. They look so slick, can anyone give them a game?

Kiwi ladies are doing okay, but being gifted tries off-forward passes helps.

Well I'm just relieved to hear you're all taking so much pleasure from the comp. We've seen what you get in any World Cup; a few blow-out scores in the early rounds, and a steady improvement in quality and intensity in the knock-out stages. Culminating in an exceptional contest today which was the best game of league I've seen in some time.

BTW something I've noticed when I've seen the Kangaroos in the flesh, and seemed to be the same tonight; there's more Wallabies shirts than Kangaroos in the crowd. Which says to me that most expat Aussies in the UK are Union fans. I don't know what that says about the demographic. Mind you, probably the Wallabies are in the UK more often.

Very good game.

Better 2nd half from the Roos. Will have to be better next week. Can't wait for the final
You're joking aren't you?

If the Roos play anywhere near that level next week, they'll beat England/Samoa by about 30 points. The lack of missed tackles; the handling at speed, and under pressure; will be far too much for either team to handle.

On a slightly lighter note, how do the Roos find so many hideously ugly people to select? Addo-Carr, Wighton, Munster, Trbojevic, Martin, etc etc etc. They all look like people that Peter Jackson dismissed as too ugly to portray Orcs in his films.

And as for Nathan Cleary, well, if incest was a person ..........

Yeah Kangaroos don't play enough. I wouldn't say I see a lot of the jerseys worn that much in Australia.

Socceroos, Wallabies, Cricket get more of a run.

There was more probably club/NRL Jersey's there then the actual Kangaroo one at the game I would say.

I know when I went over to UK for the Ashes in 2019 I wore my Parramatta jersey and it actually started a few conversations as it gave them people an indication of where I was from and ran into a couple who lived in the same suburb.

Australia will be raging hot favourites. The best chance of a Samoan win is, for Sutton to be the ref. He penalised just about every single escort and the only really contentious penalty was the one against Paulo, who will be suspended for sure. I can't help but feel Australia will pick Klein for the final just to be sure though.

Again, a terrific contest, and I'm sure England will be gutted, but completely deserving win by Samoa all the same. A remarkable comeback from game 1.

Samoa having more Origin players then England probably helps them tbh.

How long will England and New Zealand accept Samoa and Tonga being a Tier 2 nation where players can double dip with origin and heritage. While there players can't.

It's a interesting discussion moving forward good for the game Samoa and Tonga finally getting there act together.

But I think the NRL and IRL need to sort out this eligibility mess.
