Rugby World Cup

Whilst I enjoyed the soccer WC it was a bit so so.
I cannot wait until the Rugby World Cup watching the wallabies take on the rest of the world (well at least 6 other countries ).

Looking forward to helping the All Blacks choke on the big stage again

the worst problem is trying to keep up with anything to do with the Rugby pre and post WC.

no thats not what i meant - its obviously bigger, with more teams etc etc but i just didn't enjoy it, but i love watching the Rugby WC - and lets face it there are really only 15 countries who are any good and probably 6 that could win it but I still love it.

I don't know there is something about the soccer WC where you know there is going to be some "suprise" team making into pretty far but in the end its an established country that wins it.

but its the Rubgy WC coming up, hence the topic

I also love the world cup but for mine there is nothing in the world that can compete with the soccer world cup(on a global scale), the world stops to watch it.

I was at Adelaide oval last world cup to see the Wallabies play, sure it was only against Namibia but it was still a great experience. I also went and saw a qtr final match between france and Ireland, that was awesome, the entire weekend was awesome.

The only thing that lets the rugby world cup down is the fact there is only 3 or 4 realistic chances of winning which kind of detracts from it.

Jonny W is a champ. People done appreciate how much harder it is to drop-kick in Rugby. Sure we all try it, and if we are lucky maybe get it straight from 30m or so, but he can nail it from ANYWHERE in his foward half. The guy is a freak.

Rugby Union, although not as good as AFL, is still a very classy game at times. I think we in Adelaide do not rate it highly because most of us do not understand the more technical side of the game.

Much better than League, that is for sure. Cant stand that.

Not a huge rugby fan but you have to watch the World Cup.

I believe he has. I know he played on the last British Lions tour, and I believe has played a few Tests for the Poms in the last year or so as well.

We saw a couple of RWC games when it was in Australia-one involved Australia.

I just love Union, but like others have said, it's darn hard to keep up to date with it in SA. I hate how they don't show big international matches involving the Wallabies live on FTA.

Id rather watch the Rugby World cup any day of the week over the Soccer World Cup. I find soccer incredibly lame (even though I watch Adelaide United...because they are from Adelaide).

Living in Queensland, I have come to really appreciate both Rugby and League ( but not soccer ) Can't wait for the World Cup.

There are some brilliant skills shown in these games, but I don't like our chances. The All Blacks are awesome.

Would love to see the likes of Chad Cornes carrying on like a pork chop in either of those sports.
