Rules for playing online

After getting a feel for online, I have picked up on a few rules that are essential to every player for playing online. If you don't abide by these rules, you might just be vulnerable to playing originally and we wouldn't want that now, would we?

1. Quit when you're losing.
2. Play as Fremantle for clearances.
3. Punch the ball from every ruck contest.
4. Play on from kick ins, run five metres and torp it to the wing.

Do add more of your 'rules' for playing online. :thumbsu:

5. When guarding kick-ins, stand on the edge of the side of the goal square. You can get much closer than you would be allowed in real life, and the game won't penalise you.

6. Play as Collingwood. Many times I've been chatting with my Collingwood opponent over the mic. "So, are you enjoying the Pies start to the season?". "Oh no, I'm actually a Lions fan".

Some idiot selected away as hawks when I had away as north selected. Almost impossible to tell who was who

Another rule seems to be just torpedo it straight up the middle and hope for the best font pass and work your way up there

I play as Collingwood, for obvious reasons.

I also think the play on for kick ins is fair game, most teams do this in real life anyway. Similar to using Freo for clearances, surely that's fair game.

Stuff like quiting when you're losing is different, and obviously not acceptable

Yeah quitting really shits me I sat through 2 100 point drubbings my first two games thn when I get really good at it people leave when I'm 3 goals up 2 mins into the game.

From my experience it really seems like going Freo is a massive advantage, with the amount of stoppages it's unreal just how much of an advantage you get from pretty much winning a guaranteed 80% of them every game.

Played a guy who was Collingwood as Sydney he beat me 47 to 39. Then played him as Freo.... I ended with 46% of total possession to his 8 and won 150-1, 38 hitouts to 3. Was absolutely ridiculous.

im penalised enough for being a richmond member, let me be successful online by using Fremantle or collingwood!

Don't be a douche and quit before the 3rd QTR.

If you do expect a message from me everytime.

also if you running towards the ball, bump them.

ORR Except for the douches that quit, find a way through skill and tactics around it.

Sandliands can be beaten, if you can't beat him then rove his taps.

If someone plays as Collngwood and you're worries, play as Collingwood aswell.

If someone is punching from the centre bounces, punch back ORR give that the punches go whereever, just run towards the punches.

If they are kicking it in certain places change your tactics around so that you're playing one on one or so forth.

There are ways around it. When Geelong were so hard to beat in 08-10 you didn't see other coaches go and say these are the things you need to do to make it eaisier.

If the game was easy and predictable then it's not fun. If you lose then you're not good enough, get better.
