Not as tragic as your love affair with your name.
Yes we get it your name is Jerome....no need to waste space.

Yeah well done.

Gezz I tell ya, Stiffy puts out one bit of bait and and these shelias havent just gone for the bait, they've taken the whole bloody rod!

Thanks for the entertainment Radar. maybe you should re name yourself Trout Girl - you seem to take the bait so easily. Or Trout Kid.

Jerome

I definitely hope this isn't true, because right now we wouldn't get anywhere near the compensation for Brett that we should.

Please stay at least one more year Brett, play some good footy, then we can ship you off for someone who loves the club, who would bleed for this team and wants to stay at the Adelaide Crows for 10+ years.

He had no control over where he went as a result of the draft..and he is young and it would be very hard to cope in another state when you arent happy.
Just give it a rest a bit.:)

With all due respect Radar, he knew exactly what could happen when he put his name in the draft.

6 clubs out of the 16 in the AFL are interstate sides after all - if he didn't want to leave Victoria he should've taken up a trade instead of wanting to play football at the highest level.

And what about all the South Aussie, Queenslander, New South Welsh and West Aussie kids who nominate for the draft? Their odds of staying in their home state are almost nil - whereas Reilly's was better than 50%.

As Stifler and I discussed in another thread, we are then left with the hypocritical situation of Vics such as Kane Johnson, Jeff White, Lawrence Angwin, Tom Gilligan and others crying to go home and that's alright because they were 'homesick.'

But when guys like Gavin Wanganeen, Nick Davis or Daniel Chick wanted to go home they were treated as greedy traitors who only wanted money.

Thems the breaks.

If we are lucky enought to get a top 5-10 pick for him then I think it would be a fair compensation because in all honesty I would much rather have Adam Cooney on our list who is a born and bred South Aussie than some homesick Victorian Kid.;)

I agree, we wouldn't get that now though, so someone better get in Brent's ear (Radar Reilly?) and tell him to sign for 1-2 more years. I'll be really filthy if he wants to leave at the end of the season.

I'm not asking for great service, just one, possibly two good years Brent!

How much of the Reilly discussion is actual fact that someone knows or is only speculation??

I know that he was anything but delighted to come to Adelaide in the first place - shattered in fact!!

Orhers may have, but I haven't heard anything from any reputable source that he is planning to go home at the end of this year. On the contrary I heard that he was settling in nicely.

So the question is - who has had it from a reliable source that Reilly is planning to go home at season end or are all the comments just based on speculation??

I haven't got it from any source macca23. Its just my gut feeling that people tell me I should follow more often.;)

As I said I would be more than happy to eat humble pie on this one but my gut feeling tells me otherwise.:(

Macca, i can't say that what i heard is fact. I heard it from a friend who heard it through word of mouth from a Sturt trainer.

As others have said, we can only truly take it seriously when we hear it from the horses mouth.

I doubt the comments to be true anyway, as many people reckon( including myself) that he has been given a very fair go.

I posted what i heard as i thought it would be interesting to see what others thought about it- certainly only a rumour at this stage.

When a story goes through that many mouths its likely to be far different at the end than what it was in the 1st place!
