I heard from a fairly good source yesterday that Simon Goodwin could be looking across the Vic border to play next year.
Funny you mention that, because I dont think he's the only one. I have the wierdest prediction that Brent Reilly will want to go back home next year.

Its definately an issue because he comes out of contract at the end of the year, and with his injury he will be out of football for another 7 or so weeks, which, for a young kid, could make him home sick. Plus, I dont think he's going to get a lot of game time with the crows when he is fit again, as other wingman will have a chance to produce there best whilst he is missing.

I recently read an article on him from over a year ago when he had broken his collarbone before his team, the Calder Cannons, played in the TAC grand final. Apparenlty his mother was really stressed because she didnt want him to be drafted somewhere outside of Victoria, and funnily enough the next day he was drafted to adelaide. - This was quite concerning.

I wonder if he'll want to go back, and if the crows will want to draft him at the end of the year, considering he is going to miss a lot of footy in the next 7 weeks.

With all due respects to Reilly, I would hardly put him in the same class as Goodwin at this stage. If Reilly decides to leave then we will get someone of equal quality in return or a top 10 draft pick. Loosing Goodwin would be a much bigger blow.

Simon was on TV the other night, saying he loves Adelaide, and wants to play for the Crows in the future. He has a family here, and owns a pub. Why on earth would he want to leave? He's Deputy Vice-Captain. Best mates with Roo. Has a spot on Adelaide radio ;)

I think that sums it up perfectly. I can't see Goody leaving in a mad fit. :)

Becks beer. German brew and considered one of the best beers in the world. Its about $7 a bottle in a pub. GOOD STUFF! Beats Heineken anyday IMHO.:D
Becks is one of the better international beers IMO. Had a few on tap ($4) yesterday at lunch time at Griffens Head. Then moved on to the Pales later. Gotta love good beer, although my head is paying for it now!

Back to the topic, I can't see Goody leaving as he seems very happy playing at AFC with some very good mates, including Roo who he has a pub with. Why would he want to leave? It's jyst a case of his manager shopping around to check his contract value. I have full confidence that Reidy will come up with a fair contract for Goody & he will continue his footy in Crows colours.

Channel 9 ran a story last night which was way off base saying he'll get squeezed out at the end of the season with Roo and McLeod coming out of contract to.

You can take it from me they are way off the mark. It's just his management trying to light fires and get the new contract signed.

He won't be going anywhere...although we could probably fit him in at Carlton.;)
