As reported in Draft Express

David Andersen- Although he isn’t playing quite as well as he was when we last wrote about him in February (in extreme depth), David Andersen is still having a career year in CSKA, and will be relied on heavily to help his team win one last Euroleague championship before they probably all go their separate ways. It’s been widely reported that CSKA head coach Ettore Messina will be leaving Moscow for Barcelona when the season is over.

Andersen is in the last year of his contract himself, according to his agent Kenny Grant, and media reports in Atlanta indicate that Billy Knight and the Hawks have spoken about finally bringing him over this season, seven years after they drafted him in the second round. It will be interesting to see if Knight shows up to watch Andersen in Madrid. There is no question that he can play in the NBA right now, and he would probably actually be a terrific compliment to Al Horford on both ends of the floor.

Interesting if true as he would add nice depth to the Atlanta front line as a big athletic body that can flat out shoot. Would provide a great scoring threat coming of the bench.

His scouting report -

it's not a matter of making it, it's a matter of money.

will the Hawks pony up the couple of million a season he'll be leaving behind.

only then, does making it come into the equation.

The Hawks spending money? Bringing in Bibby is the first time they've put themselves in a money spending position for a long time - and that was as minimum risk as you could get since next year is the last year on his contract. Plus Smith & Childress are restricted free agents this year.

Anderson looks too skinny to defend at 5 or 4, and will be too slow to play anything else. Hawks need a legit center who can defend and rebound which frees up Horford to play in position at 4 and be a real offensive threat, which then puts Smith in his natural 3 and Marvin Williams can come off the bench to dink down his 17 footers. Because ever time he hits an open jumper and Chris Paul runs a contender I die a little inside.
