Would rather lose Warnock than Hampson based on what I've seen this year.

Isn't Hammer's contract up this year? We may get nothing for him if he gets the deal he wants somewhere else.

Ill spew if we lose Hammer. last few weeks he's started to become the ruckman we want, and starting to show why i personally think he's going to be carltons go to ruck partner with kreuzer next year. Some of his ground work has been awesome, as well as his marking improving radically in the last 3 weeks.
Then you've wiped Warnock's first 5 games from memory.
Same thing is happening for many of our positions.
Four weeks ago, we wouldn't have O'hAilpin relegated for anyone.
We currently have Thornton as our premium CHB, because he is better than Bower or Austin.
Next week, we may be questioning whether we need Duigan back, or should we just ease him through the Ants to see how he goes.
Whichever way it's a great thing we have faith in those that have been seelected by our ever improving MC.
I still think Hampson is more valuable, the way the game is being played these days u need athletes on the field, warnock yes is taller and a better tap ruckman, but hampson just does so much more around the ground and i think that is why he is more valuable.
Pretty much sums it up for me.
Although i'd like to see Warnock really grab this chance with both hands, and get back to the form we saw him in during the pre-season.
RW has only played 41 games which I find quite remarkable. I think he's got another level which we're yet to see.
Been loving Hammer's improvement this season. Hope we keep both of them.
I could be wrong here, but I detect a real laconic attitude with Warnock. I just wonder if he thought it would just happen for in 2010. With Kreuzer being injured, and Hampson behind him in the pecking order, suspect he might have thought he could coast through the early part of the season. Now he's for a fight.

would the match review comm consider that excessive force?Warnock is not slouch when it comes to speed either.
I remember against Geelong early last year 206 chasing Wojcski(how ever you spell it) for half the field then getting him, forcing the kick to fall straight to Walker.
Keep both, or do a Joker from Dark Knight, give them each half a pool cue and see who kills who first![]()

If this is how selection worked, I'd back Setanta in as starting ruck - his hurling work would come to the fore. Back up ruck would be Mitch, whose stick work might not be as good, but he wouldn't feel pain.
And it would be bad news for the Hammer, because as the Herald Sun likes to continually remind us, he's a lover, not a fighter.

it's funny how every one now rates Hampson ahead of Warnock. Warnock was playing decent footy this year pre the Geelong game, he just wasn't kicking goals. Warnock's form at the end of last season still trumps Hampsons form this year. Be patient, Warnock will turn out to be a very good player, he's still too light though and because of that will take time.
Last year means nothing - why can't he replicate that form in 2011?? Can't blame injury/lack of fitness, maybe laziness ??
Hammer is getting much more of ball around ground in last few weeks than 206 has done all year, so thus is ahead of him
Warnock needs to work harder, and show some hardness

Agreed, I really rate 206 but to go to the next level he needs some mongrel in his game and to HTFU. I want to see him crashing packs and using his body to (legally) hurt the opposition.
