To Fremantle specifically.

Yeah i seen that on Fox sports news after i posted.

What about Warnock from Melbourne? Would he be worth chasing and would what height and position would he play for us? Also would we even chase him? Maybe he wants to play in the same club as his brother? Any thoughts on him?
What about a straight swap of Warnock for Brock McLean?

Forget both ideas.

Have a read of the thread on the Melbourne board relating to Matthew Warnock - they don't rate him at all !

LOL at McLean back to Melbourne but seriously we should look at trading him to GWS. Just the hard type of body they need for a couple of years.

Jack Gunston has walked out of Adelaide.

Get?

Yes.

Can mark, good lead, from what I've seen. Kicking is a little up and under, but it works when going for goal.

Long term and depth wise would be a good target. First rounder would be the price IMO

Or Andrew Lovett

I know Fev was out. I didn't see him personally but apparently, he was blind.

I think the game has passed Matthew Warnock by, we wont be recruiting him.

Just been on twitter and apparently he's been cleared of any wrong doing.
Nothing to see here, move on.

Just another media beat up and case of an innocent Fevola being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Fevola's 'Good Night Out With The Boys'
Brendan Fevola's hopes of returning to the AFL appear to be doomed with the troubled former star throwing up in a Melbourne bar overnight.

Fevola appeared in the Hawthorn pub, and after a few beers with mates, threw up on the floor in front of patrons before hastily leaving.

James Wesley from the Glennferrie Hotel says Fevola was clearly intoxicated.

He has cleared himself toad, just because he said he didn't do it doesn't mean that he is telling the truth.

It wasn't Fev it was Dean Felton from the Hun, who said the Victoria police had cleared him of any involvement.

Anyway Meh.

Isn't Fev on medication which will KILL HIM if he has ANY alcohol ??? It is supposedly part of his rehab reatment from earlier in the year ........

I am glad to see that Fev has kept up his promise to himself, his family and friends, that he will no longer drink himself into a mess :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'll say it here right now. If we are to trade for a power position player then I hope that the club's philosophy is that of Chris Dawes, Kurt Tippett or bust. If another big man who has proven that he can alter the outcome of games does come on the market then obviously I would have interest in them. However, those two (Dawes and Tippett) are the only two that tick the boxes for the Blues in age, experience, performance to this point in time and future potential.

I am somewhat relieved that Butcher re-signed with Port. Too much risk factor involved there and would have commanded in the vicinity of Dawes/Tippett in trade. The last thing that a burgeoning premiership contender needs to be saddled with is a kid who is unable to fulfill his potential and who is earning 300+ big ones for three-to-five years. That can hamstring a club to the point where it finds itself unable to sustain a premiership drive.

Keep Tippett and Dawes. Both are punching above their weight. Tippett's athleticism makes him look half decent but no footy brain at all. Very much a confidence player also. Will be a list clogger in a couple of years after the 'young bloke' athleticism & confidence wears off. Dawes would be shutdown pretty quickly if Cloke & Brown weren't there to nurse him.

Either way, was this the same Brendan Fevola who claimed he is a changed man on the footy show just last week? The same Brendan Fevola who claimed that he is no longer binge drinking and is able to have one and leave it at that? The man is an absolute numbskull, and in fact I am so glad that something like this happened because this is sure, regardless of how much truth is in it, to turn Carlton way off him and unfortunately has perhaps destroyed any chance of him possibly playing AFL football again. Absolute caveman, his lack of intelligence actually annoys me.

I love how, in March, Fev declares that he WILL NOT be drinking ANY alcohol "for the remainder of his sporting career". How long did that last ??? Now he declares he can have one and stop ??? It must have been a hell of a drink if it got him so plastered he threw up on the dance floor (or is he still on the pills which make him violently ill if he drinks, at which stage I just think he is an idiot as he knew what would happen if he had a drink ........)

Long story short, a guy who claims to be a "changed man" after long term alcohol and gambling addictions who thinks the odd beer is fine and Poker "isn't really gambling" hasn't really changed at all ....

Harper and chief executive Steven Trigg met with Gunston in Melbourne over the weekend.
Adelaide hasn't given up hope of retaining the 193cm forward, but it's more likely the club will have to agree to a trade, with Hawthorn, North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs all showing interest in the second-year Crow.

Carlton is also believed to be keen on the promising 14-game player.

Not sure if I'm sold on Gunston. He's not exactly your bullocking type forward that we need. And Adel are terrible to deal with, so we would be expected to give up a lot to get him, despite the fact I'm pretty sure he's out of contract?

Have read elsewhere that Daniel Motlop (out of contract) doesn't think Port will retain him, but that GWS and Carlton had spoken to him.
Spoken to him is a long way from "wanting" him, and even if you did look to trade him in the cost would probably be low.
I suspect if we don't re-sign him (performance based 1 yr contract) that GWS will try to grab him as a previously listed player for nothing, but you would have options in the PSD as well as low end trade.

No - I'm not trying to sell him to you, but thought you would be interested in hearing.

I just tried to flick the bug in your avatar off my screen.

It freaked me out. Like that scene in the Ring.

And what on earth would we need Motlop for?

We speak to anyone and everyone it seems.
We'd be more likely to go for Fev than for Motlop.

I didn't really see what role he would fill, given your forward line (although short) seems to work, and he's not a KPP.

Surprised no-one has posted that picture of the Dog recoiling in horror with 'Do not want' written on it in response to Motlop.

That picture summises my opinion on him at Carlton.

Motlop will not be at Carlton next year and we have not spoken with him. Not in our plans.....
