Robbo is about the most biased anti-Carlton flog around. He has been talking Carlton down for years, pumped them up prematurely this preseason and jump back to sticking the boot into Carlton the moment he could.


As for Boak, a Journo would have asked Ratten "Would Carlton be interested in Boak if he was coming back to Melbourne" to which he replied "He is a good player, of cause we would be interested". That would be the same response if asked in any decent player was coming back to Melbourne. In other words there is nothing in it .......

Normally I would agree with you. But the only thing that gave me a faint indication that Ratten was interested was him saying something along the lines of "if he decided to come back to Victoria then we'd love to talk with his management".

Also, the legitimacy of Rattens and Carltons interest is not for debate here. This is a rumour thread - to discuss what-ifs. If you don't think something is likely to happen then go join the several others who intellegently decide not to waste time and space by not posting their Opinion of the unlikely hood of a scenario. All I asked for was an opinion on a journo's comments and the Boak scenario.

Every time he seemed to be looking good he'd get another injury! When he was fit and firing was exactly what we needed. Still dying out for players of his type a couple of years on.

He was one of my favourite players at brisbane during their premiership years, looked a real up and coming gun. Injuries just hampered his career and in the end got the better of him. Had so much potential, like Mark Coughlan

Hey guys, long time reader, hardly ever post. Like many of you, i'm pretty distraught at how our season's fallen apart since the Essendon game. Injuries aside, there hasn't been any passion, pride or determination to win the hard balls like we've seen in the past year or so.

I'm not one to start unfounded rumours(and although it may seem speculative, it does seem to make sense), I have heard from a source who is close to the inner sanctums of the club that apparently the players aren't happy with Ratten. This is due to Ratten apparently having his 'favourites', and Lucas is somehow involved in this.

If it is true, it would explain the lack of apparent effort I've seen from the players recently. DOn't take this as gospel, because neither am I. Just like hearing different explanations as to what has happened to our season.

WOndering if anyone has seen or heard anything similar?

Well I spoke to Lucas at the StKilda game and asked him why guys like Joseph were getting a run ahead of him, he rolled his eyes and said coaches call.....
