Patto is mates with a few of the guys on the SFL administration, and does get a bit of 'you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours' treatment, but stiff $hit, that's football. We don't have a cashed up bogan backing us financially like that st kilda city muppet. As for being a whinger, that's just st kilda city being typical f#ckwits, they know that Patto knows about their bribing of the SFL board last year, and that at a certain time, he will release this information, and city are trying to stop him.

Mate, your so far of the mark, I wouldnt know what treatment Dingley or there president get because they are a division 2 club. All I know is he is a little copper who came to one game and spoke absolute crap to the league. Bribe rumors crap, the league hate us and do us no favors, get a dvd of the gf 2008 and see who might have bribed anyone( even more so since the appeal scenario.) Interesting to see you brushed over Quinns 20k? FACT yourlub has achieved nothing and I suggest you get back in your hole until you do so,lets hope you cut the mustard in divvy one as your club have big raps on yourselves, in fact you could takeover the mantle from us as the most hated club with crap yourpeople write on here.

Quinn, 20K. hahahah. not even close. I know exactly what his remuneration is, and considering he is a non-playing coach, I will allow you to have another guess.
I watched the GF last year. St Kilda weren't given a hard time by the umpires, just you had some very hairy, very ugly man trying to punch everyone because he couldn't get a kick.
I also think you should change your name, no back to back for you bunch of little cry babies.
 
Daniel Donati from Noble Park was keen on a move to St Pauls for considerably less then he was on at Noble Park however St Pauls refused his request of $350 a game saying they do not pay this kind of money to there players.
Good player to knock back at $350 a game...

Wippet, how do you know what Quinn earns? Wouldn't that be bad for morale if everyone knew what he was being payed?
Big rumour he was on $20+K until after they were beaten by Springy Districts in the Grand Final. There were a few players that knew and were not happy. Quinn then had to take a pay cut to retain these players and keep his integrity at the club! Dingley are a well managed club and will be a force in a few years as they have more than enough support from the SFL. Half of the tribunal is Dingley committee people...

I think they offered him an assistant coaching role but he preferred to go to Lara anyway. I also heard Springy Districts were chasing him but did not want to offer him the assistants role and upset Wells. He was offered an assistants (non playing) role at a VFL club but could not commit the necessary time.
He wants to coach if work permits. Would be a massive gain for any club in the SFL.

Wippet you have been stitched badly,Mighty Mouse I believe StPauls pay at least 6 players that amount+ , James was on double that and has doubled it again at Catani, interesting call on Donati he would have been on $1000 minimum at Noble and talking to mates of his wouldnt get out of bed for less than $700, apparently signed at Lara on 20k plus after telling noble he was retiring, maybe they were cutting his money

Beleive me back2back08 -Spoke to him a month ago...
Highest paid player ever at St Pauls was Luke James $450 a game.
I play for a Divy 2 club and have close ties with St Pauls.
Half there ones team dosen't even get paid.

you got beat by springy 2 years ago in the granny and springy got beat by 15+ goals both times they played city last year you want to have recruited a few to even compete in divvy 1

keep in mind how many players st kilda city has lost in comparison to st pauls and you will find its pretty even.

james will be a big loss to st pauls but have definately picked up more than 2 handy recruits.

Mercoulia (springy/casey VFL), Hall (Sandy VFL), Ambrose (Sandy TAC) are all handy pickups with a few more to come.

Mighty,
Pretty close to the mark there, St Pauls don't really spend that much money. As i have always said, there is remuneration in the form of best on grounds etc (e.g. $100 for BOG in seniors), as well as smaller game based payments such as $100 - $450 per game, but nowhere near the likes of some clubs such as Catani who seem to pay large amounts.

It is correct that half the senior team doesn't get paid, and i would assume this is the case for most SFL div 1 teams, (excluding St Kilda City).

Usually teams will pay a core group of good/gun players then the rest is based on locality, mateship etc etc.

Yeah Heater will be going again for the doggies. As his skills aren't an issue, he has been mainly working on his fitness with cycling, swimming etc so that he will be right for the season proper.

Interesting to note the thread re- the media has been deleted from yesterday. I would have thought that there was MUCH worse things written on this forum over time that warranted being deleted in front of that. I thought the Media thread was the first decent conversation that has been had on this forum in many, many months! Oh well, back to talking about who gets paid what for another month......
