I know we've got room in our cap to make these types of trades during trade week, but give Waite/Henderson/O'Hailpin more time to gel, and our forwardline could be quite difficult to match up.

I also agree with C4, supported the Crows as a kid, and selected them as the club he wanted to play for under the NSW scholarship program. Can't imagine him moving to Melbourne.

I work with his cousin and he has family in Melbourne so it wouldn't be a completely fresh start. However she did say he's happy... but when the right price appears for a kid you never know.

Where did I label him more of an athlete than a footballer?

He's a hard nut (read: tough) footballer who doesn't have the required skill level to play consistent / regular games at the senior level.

Why? The team has been crying out for a player of his position who has the football ability at the senior level. So badly that Joe Anderson was given a second opportunity when he was clearly one of the worst on ground in the Richmond game.

Besides, I'm a sports (NBA) writer not a fiction writer.

I wouldn't have thought that "Rumour File" meant "please feel free to make shit up about players you don't like for some reason and post it in here as though it is/might one day become true".

If there's anything to this at all, I'd be very interested to hear what his supposed "attitude" probs are.

Still, if he does get the flick, it's at least comforting to know that he will still have his career with Flight of the Conchords to fall back on.
