All i can say is thank god you aren't a Carlton recruiter.

Two picks in the top 20 and a quality marking KPF to work in tandem with Hendo doesn't appeal to you?

Waite can take Gibbs job in the backline while we groom Lucas for the Job.

Draft two more mids with picks 15 and 19. Odd are one of them should turn out quality.

FF: Betts, T. Walker, Gartlett
HF Yarran, Henderson, Scotland
C: Grigg, Mclean, Simpson
HB: Bower, Waite, White
B: Army, Jamison, Russell
Foll: Kruezer, Judd, Murphy

Int: Warnock, Carrazzo, Joseph, Lucas

Emerg: Hampson, A. Walker, Robinson, Houlihan, Ellard, Davies, Johnson, (Picks 15 + 19)

Looks pretty good to me.

Ever heard of the saying 'the club is bigger then the individual' ??
Compared to what Fev meant to us, Walker is a p*ss in the ocean, and a mere 10 months after his sacking, you dont see many people around here lamenting Fev's loss anymore..
How about you Adelaide bumpkins stop building up every young forward with potential that comes your way as 'The next Modra' and start showing some support to the team as a whole.

Because, quite simply, we haven't had a forward worthy of tying Modra's shoelaces since Modra

But i am in agreeance, some of our supporters are getting their knickers twisted a fair bit over what could be nothing

Plenty of cash spare in the salary cap for a young guy like Taylor Walker. He's younger, faster, more athletic and more skilful than Roughead.
I'd prefer a Roughead who has been playing injured for most of this year.

In that game where Fev hit the post, Roughead won the ball at half back, gave it off and then busted his gut to mark inside fifty after a great sprint down the wing.

Bigger body and genuine size.

Walker is a similar size to Anthony, but I believe he isn't quick like Fevola, but knows when to lead.

Not sure that he'll fill out to be a powerhouse like Fevola.
Not sure why that suggestion is anything to scoff at.

Jacobs and a 2nd rounder?

For one of the best young KPFs in the League?

What would you offer Essendon for Hurley, or Richmond for Riewoldt?
Are you putting Walker up there with Hurley and Riewoldt?

Jack Anthony had a 50 goal season last year, but hasn't cracked it for a regular game ahead of Dawes in 2010.

Gibbs is a better footballer than Walker and signed, so we would want more to pry him lose.

I'd rather take Phil Davis for Gibbs, but that's not going to happen because he's a local and Bock is going.

This Walker rumour is bulltish.

Just needs to go back to the lower level like Warnock who has worked on his game and fitness to come back a better player.

We would get absolutely smashed with Mclean in the middle.I rather have Carrazzo their even if he turned the ball over every 2nd week.Gibbs should be in the middle and not traded for ordinary pick like Walker and 2 picks near 25 and 29 in a normal draft. I may consider Walker with Dangerfield for Gibbs and if they want a later pick. This way we keep a midfielder who can kick goals and get a forward to work with.

Dont write Brock off just yet.

I had Carrazzo on the Bench for midfield rotations/ Sweeping and tagging roles.

Two picks in the first round mate. Picks 15 and 20 odd aren't to be sneezed at, even considering GC concessions.

Walker isn't 'ordinary' either. He looks every bit a fantastic young KPF, more than capable of kicking 60+ a year for the next ten years.

Brock may be handy but in the guts of the game you would love the quickest player their or someone with great skills.Brock would suit best on the bench when the game slowed down a bit then on if he can overcome injury and form.

This along with your comment about Butcher just shows you have no idea about football at all.

Mate, your flankers/ wingers and outside mids need speed.

You might want to look at our current Coach and where he played most of his footy. He was AA Center in 2000 and 2001. In the guts, in and under.

Ratts wasn't exactly renowned for his speed either FWIW.

lol, Starchamber would have to be the most funniest/borderline annoying poster on here!

On a serious note, do you all recon we need a tall for 2011 onwards considering our babies (Kreuzer and Henderson) will be there really taking shape and Waite there as well with Hampson and Warnock in the ruck? Kruezer will not ruck much due to his set back i would think.

Are we safe and sound in the quality inside midfielder stocks?
Should have plenty of quality running midfielders.
Should have plenty of small forwards and small/medium defenders.
What about a real decent tall defender, some one tall strong and quick who is smart enough and good enough to out mark their man and play on big monsters? Yeah easier said than done.

I just think the tall forwards we have already will become quite a force.

90%?!?!?! So like is he missing a foot or maybe a few toes and fingers? If we don't get him all I'd prefer you cut off his ring finger, aka; Daniel Chick...

My inside mail is that young rookie Josh Donaldson has been told by the Blues that he won't be retained on the list in 2011. Bit of a shame considering he is a first year player. I think the fact that he plays as a ruckman and is only 193cm would be the reason we are letting him go. Not quite tall enough for an AFL ruckman and with our current ruck depth it wouldn't be a surprise if he was delisted.

Who knows what we'll have in reagrds to pick numbers, pending trades made but if we can secure a lower pick than our initial first choice some names in possies i'd be looking at, which order they decide is more important we'll have to wait and see.

Most, if not all these names will more than likely go before our first choice anyway (20ish). So it's wishful thinking on my account.

Forward - Lynch Darling Cook
Insider/distributer - Caddy, Harper, Prestia, Hallahan
KPB - Watson McCarthy(potential to bulk up) or mature age.
