Carlton are 100 per cent NOT interested in getting pavlich this year. I was invited to a box at etihad and sticks was a brief guest of one of the owners of the box ( geoff edelston). Sticks hung around for the first half and another guest in the box asked him why we aren't chasing pavlich. He said and I quote "we have offered him big money every time he's come out of contract and he's said no everytime, so we are not going there again"! For what it's worth an influential Carlton supporter in the box with us whispered to me that the Pratt family are prepared to offer Paul Roos whatever it takes to get him to coach the blues next year. This includes the pratts paying out rats remaining contract. However the feedback has been that he's not interested in moving back to Melbourne regardless of the money that has been offered. Which I was told was in the vicinity of $1 million a year for 3 years!

Funny, Sticks can say whatever he likes but other stuff needs to be whispered. Never leave the drama out of posts regarding baseless rumours. :thumbsu:

The reason it was whispered to me was because sticks was sitting 6 feet away and talk of behind the scenes moves to replace the coach wouldn't have gone down too well with the pres if he heard this comment come from this influential supporter. Believe what you will but I'm only sharing information I heard directly from sticks and this other person. Whether it's true we are in fact chasing Roos we will never know however this person that "'whispered" this info to me is very well connected at visy park.

Of course, Sticks would never be aware of any moves the Pratt family might be making - only The Whisperer. Next... :o

He wouldn't be too impressed because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want this sort of information be made public. But as happens will all footy clubs there are always people willing to share this inside information.

No, be hell to pay if anyone found out Carlton might have sounded out Roos. Massive secrecy.

I think if trade week turns into a fail, I would look at Rosa

Why exactly would you want to do that?

It's funny how come trade time we adopt a perception that anything that walks is better than our own stock
Sooner we back what we have than to scout for "players" ala Brisbane unless of course .........................

Tarrant would have to come cheap and I don't think that will happen. Definitely worth it if we don't have to cough up much but at his age I would not like to risk a high pick or player trade.

Hansen gone, Rosa wants out.

The future is unclear for key forwards Quinten Lynch, Ben McKinley and Callum Wilson, utility players Mark Nicoski and Matthew Spangher, premiership defender Brett Jones, as well as Mitchell Brown, Beau Wilkes and Tony Notte.

I wanna Rookie draft Notte for piss and giggles. Would be fun going on in the bay about the "Judd + Armfield + Notte" trade :D:D:D

Brad Hardie on 6PR said tonight that the jungle drums were baning hard that......

Tarrant wants to go to the Blues.
Pav has not signed because GC have thrown a massive offer on the table and that he believes Pav WILL leave to go somewhere.

Interesting time of the year with rumours flying around everywhere:D

We have spoken with Pavlich's Manager again this year however it is very unlikely he will move from Fremantle. We thought our best opportunity was last year during the trade period and Pavlich did show a degree of interest but could not come up with suitable compensation in respect to a trade.

The attention during the trade period will be elsewhere.

The club is hopeful that Austin has an injury free pre-season and a good run at a role next year but that Tarrant would be a reasonable short-term fill-in.

Maybe we could get Merrett from Brisbane in return for taking Fev off their hands....

Rosa's had a surprisingly good season. Wouldn't have touched him last year but his disposal has improved. Wouldn't give more than a third round pick for him though.

I would put in an offer for Mitch Brown. Has had a disappointing season but seems to move better than his brother. Would be willing to part with our first round pick if that gets it done.

Mitch Brown is our man. Big body at CHB (who can also be developed up forward). Get it done Blues, get it done.

I know on 6PR last night they mentioned that Carlton may be willing to offer our 1st rd pick for Tarrant but I would rather sit back and wait to see who is available before we make any silly moves.

If we went back 12 months you wonder if we could have picked up Brock with our 2nd rounder instead of our 1st pick if we had just waited.

our 2nd round pick was given to the Lions in the Fev trade. Perhaps 3rd Round, but i reckon without the guarantee that he was going to be picked up by Carlton he would have stayed at the Demons. They wanted him, he wanted out.

There is no way in hell our 1st round pick on the table for Tarrant, We would need to be getting someone else in return, for that to happen. Hardie must have been on Mad Tuesday.

Wont happen.

0% chance!!!

Thank goodness!!!

does the name greg swan and the pratt family ring a bell. $$$$$$$$$$$. we'll be aggressive this year and give the vacant number 25 to pavlich
