No disrespect but do you expect him to come out and say he wants to be a two club player ?

Never say never - I reckon Buddy has the ego to be heavily courted by other clubs with big cheques !

No I don't, but why would he make such a comment? Footballers can say something like - the negotiations are going well, or i'm not talking contracts until the end of the year, etc, etc, etc......

Can't see HUghes or Rogers pouring a lot of resources into getting Bachar after we overlooked him 3 times in his draft, and with him seemingly being as injury prone post-draft as pre-draft. Not sure who he'd replace in our back 6 if he is bemoaning a lack of opportunities.

Bachar Houli to become either a Pie, Kangaroo or Blue after this season.

Watch this space.

Before he was drafted, I would have loved him at the club, with his silky use of the ball, and ability to go forward and kick goals. However, his body has really let him down since going to Essendon, and suspect we won't be one of the 3 clubs mentioned there.

I'm lead to beleive that we are one of the 3 clubs mentioned - however, I think he'll struggle to get a gig in our squad (ditto Collingwood) so it will be off to the Roos.

Rumor: Chris Judd was asked and accepted the offer to him, to increase his wage earning this year to create space in our cap further on. With the gained space in the salary cap with the trading of Fevola and the Stevens retirement we had a lot more room in our cap to fill in. We didn't make any significant trades last year hence the more space. Judd now with 4 years left on his contract will be paid approximately 250-300K per year in years 4,5 & 6 of this contract, leaving plenty of room in our cap to re-sign our younger guns, and attract other big name players from other clubs without extending the cap limit.

Greg Swann & Chris Judd i love everything about you guys.

The footy department will use BF's Polls board and HodgePodge's threads to rate Houli's value as a trade target

Gibbs and Browne for Houli.

Wow, so just how much spare cash will we have for new players next year?

would not have a clue, but from this year alone, Stevens (400,000+) Fevola (500,000+ min) you can see how they had the room to move. Lets just say that we are going to be very active come this years trade period.

I'd hazard a guess that they will have to cough up a fair bit for Gibbs, Murphy & Kreuzer over the next few years.
not now, but in 4,5,6 years yes we will.

Murphy last year signed a 3? year extension, Gibbs in the process, Kreuzer just signed for another 2. you would think that are fairly good prices ATM, but next contract, massive pay rises will be in place :thumbsu:

Rumour: Carlton to throw big money at T. Walker

Well I've seen all I need to see, welcome to the Blue Birds

well if you write off a bloke who has had a few years inuries then we would have no Jamison, Walker, Judd, O'hAilpin, Warnock, Anderson etc...

Some blokes just get unlucky and go through a few years of injury, his run of bad luck could just be around the corner.

What is Houli's age? If he was fit would he be an upgrade to any of our players? Could he play other positions than the HBF?
