The only way you could take a team's leading goal scorer, add it to a top 8 team and have it fail incomprehensibly... is if you were the Brisbane Lions.


Having said that, I'm happy to watch Waite and Hendo go hard at it instead of throwing in a ready-made forward. Get us some help in the backline and let Gibbsy run riot in the midfield pleeeeeease

I have no idea what it would take to secure him from Freo.

You're right he'd be an upgrade on Carrots .. and rumour had it that if we didn't trade #3 to West Coast for Judd, we would have used it to select Palmer.

Can we address his field kicking? ... can we afford to carry another bad kick in our side?

Money is not an issue as we have plenty in the salary cap.

It is what we would have to give up in terms of draft picks & a player/s.

Would love Pav at the Blues.

Indications are that we're prepared to trade 2 maybe 3 players and as keen Carlton may be on some right now that may well change in the following few weeks.
(I'm sure there will be more names bandied around but as we know, not all deals come to fruition)

There may be temptation for some immediate stop gaps, but I also expect that to wane after some hard deliberating takes place.
It seems also that we have cast out a wide net, but probably only have a select few players in mind.

I just can't see Carlton setting out to attract any players that have any question marks hanging around their heads, either i.e. Palmer, Salopek and even Drummond.
We'll go in tough through this trade period and if we land one or two guns then we would have done very well indeed.

Would be very disappointed if this were true. I find Starchamber to be very intelligent and informative.....His jokes are second to none and his thought provoking views make this forum a better place.

Came here to say the same thing. Let's stick with Waite/hendo and go for a KPD who won't cost us alot in terms of a trade. Or we can start praying to the footy gods that Austin will come good but I don't like our chances.
