Geelong midfielder Kane Tenace may be offered the chance to secure a regular spot
elsewhere, with Sydney Swans understood to be the frontrunners.

Tenace, 22, is out of contract at the end of the month and is not in contention for Geelong's finals
campaign after missing the past two months with a hamstring injury.

Woooaaa, loving that news... He would be a starting midfielder anywhere but Geelong (and west coast when everyone's fit (even without Judd)).

I've always though Tenace was a good name for him - very tenacious.

Nick.

Me too :thumbsu::). Tenace has probably been very unlucky to miss out on a spot on the Geelong line-up this year, too much talent down their way. Could be like Craig Bolton - a bit of a fringe player until able to get a regular opportunity to play.

If you let us have Darcy Daniher we'd consider it

DD might prefer sydney anyway, he's not essendon's yet is he?....as for hille, i think it's not unreasonable we ask something MORE than just hille for jolly, they're a bit apart in terms of achievements and status right now

hille and courtney johns?

I dont know this word for word
but my personal trainer...his sister is best friends with Simon Phillips blah blah blah gossip more blah blah blah

I don't believe the crap people make up, Simon Phillips has already been told he is at Sydney next year.

Or could be the next David Spriggs.

Very similar players.

Geelong won't accept a 3rd round pick for him, he was selected at pick 7, even if he hasn't live up to his potential.

Just shot yourself in the foot there. It matters little where he was picked, what matters is how he's performed since that day. Wouldn't bother me if we ddin't get him though, but if it can be done cheaply, then it's worth a shot.

I suspect your right. The only problem is we are also trying to outbid Essendon for Darcy Daniherand we need a good draft pick to do that. I really want Tenace to join the Swans as Sydney have a history of finding talent which other clubs cant get out of players eg Maleski and Richards.

Malceski has never played for another club mate?

I think you mean C Bolton and Richards

I thought the Bombers had a claim to Malceski at one point. I am probably wrong. And yes you are all right that Craig Bolton is a good example of a player which couldnt get into the starting team and then he moved to the Swans and became a important member of our Sqaud.
