where theres smoke theres fire there is def some truth to all these rumours about him wanting to return.

So whether its this year or next no matter what im pretty sure its going to happen.
So hes still young why waste a trade on him make him stay there another year then he can come back to WA when his contract expires an we can pick him up(if we want) for next to nothing.

I'd rather take Wolfenden before Yarran, work ethic is what we want.

Look the rumour is probably baseless, but at the moment Yarran wouldn't even get a space on the bench with the Ducks.

The rumours regarding him wanting to come back are probably not right. But there are other rumours that are. As mentioned for legal reasons no-one can comment.

You wouldn't touch him though - not in a trade, not in the pre-season draft.

Some of you may have very briefly seen the threads on bigfooty earlier this year. They were all pulled off pretty much immediately due to court orders prohibiting any mention of him or the legal matters.

West Coast have greater trade value than us for Yarran. Carlton traded their future key position forward for Judd remember, Josh Kennedy. Well in all fairness WC should give back a key position forward for Yarran. I can just see it now, Ash Hansen lining up with Fev, classic.

Work ethic is overrated.....:p

General consensus seems to be that Yarran will be a dud. I couldn't disagree more, he definitely has the talent to be a big success. And I know that doesn't equal guaranteed success, but a first year player picked at #6 and after what he showed in the championships last year....

Playing with his friends could be just what he needs, and I wouldn't think twice about offering a trade for him.

We already have Balla and Walters and Maine for the position that Yarran would be going for. I don't think its a position that we need to add to...

We need KPPs

He would fit in better at WC.

There has been talk of him wanting to go at years end but Carlton talking him around. Plenty of 'gossip' but very little fact. Interesting.

Pick 6 - Yarran
Pick 7 - Rich

Do you think they can still justify that choice?
And people bag us about our recruiting. That's appalling really.

Any Swan Districts supporters here? Would think Yarran would be worth a mid to late 2nd Rounder now, I don't know much about Clayton Collard, but I recall he had issues off the field as well.

Have a few friends who play WAFL (one captained Subiaco to multiple flags) & they all felt Yarran would only succeed at a lower profile/lifestyle club such as Freo.

Freo isnt low profile. If he stuffed even slightly here Yarran would get crucified. It sounds like Sydney or Brisbane might be a better location for him.

The only way I'd take him would be in the PSD, or trade him for a spud like head/thorton/gilmore/drum/murphy/peake and put him on a performance based contract. Even the I'd be second guessing my decision.

Even better trade
Freo get Yarran, Carltons 4th and 5th pick
Carlton get Head Drum Thorton Gilmore Murphy and Peake
:D:D:D:D:D
