Ok Dawes and Wellingham are both premiership players there at an age which means that they are at a near peak of their career.

We must demand 2 top first round picks for both otherwise no deal.Both should be off the table.
I was having a discussion about this the other night with another pie friend.

His point was that picks 1-10 10-20 may be great players in 4-5 years time but right at this point none of these kids are as good as Dawes who incidently is key position and welliginham both premiership players are worth top first round picks.

Melbourne or anyone else wanting to deal first round picks for each player otherwise no deal stick to picking your kids.

If we lose both wellers and dawes must be like for like of ready made players or 2 top first round picks or we are getting screwed.

Don't get screwed pies especially since Sydney and hawks have bolstered their sides for next year,we must also do the same.

Was told today from a family member who is very good mates with an AFL Legend and big media person that Melbourne are very keen on Dawes and the deal should go through but we are also into Sam Reid and he will be apart of the Tippett to Sydney deal

Melbourne - Dawes
Pies - Reid
Adelaide - Pick 13
Sydney - Tippett

There would be a swap of 2nd 3rd 4th round picks aswell but he thinks this will go through pretty soon

Was told today from a family member who is very good mates with an AFL Legend and big media person that Melbourne are very keen on Dawes and the deal should go through but we are also into Sam Reid and he will be apart of the Tippett to Sydney deal

I dont believe it at this point purely because of the talent he could become, and how damn good our spine would be with him a FF, Cloke, Reid & Brown with our mids.

Pretty ordinary 1st year of that 5 years, a lot of money to be paying to a guy they know will go home one day and what if the next 4 years aren't any better than the first?

I would love it too but it's not going to happen, no way Sydney are going to give up Reid, we wouldn't be able to afford Reid.

Swans only trade when they can get something for nothing. Goodes has a year left in him so they see Tippett as his replacement in the fwd line and salary cap.
