That's no good jmac, he'd probably walk into it![]()
LulzWood is a good example of how average players can attract high draft picks if they fill a need at a club. We parted with pick 14 for him after he had only managed 16 games at the Lions in three years. By these calculations Dawes must be worth a first round pick plus steak knives.
He cannot be relied upon at ANY stage. The guy needs to be shown the door.

Barrett reckons that Dawes wants to go to a finals contending team.
Jesus, bit picky all of a sudden for a guy only being chased by teams outside of the eight.
He wouldn't be the first ruck to ''switch on'' at 25-26, we've invested a hell of a lot in the bloke, we have to go at least another year IMO.
Problem is that the switch just isn't there. He does not have the intensity to compete at the highest level. He looks half asleep must of the time.
True, we still need a back up ruckman IMO though, especially if we plan on cutting wood, wood may be crap but he's our only option at present, that needs to change
Dawes to Melbourne or threaten to play him in the VFL or year.
Like I said, there aren't any finals contenders that are interested in him.carlton

Would you be intrested in Lucas Cook?

You'd have to try pretty hard to get delisted after 2 years if you were a top 10 DP lol, he obviously doesn't like the hard work, if he was a worker you'd think Neeld would give him more time, no from me.
Definitely. Chuck him on the rookie list and look to eventually upgrade. If he can get himself right he'll be a star IMO. Also good for the VFL sideWould you be intrested in Lucas Cook?

Now that Jacobs is coming back home, we must go after him. Pick 17 to Port for Jacobs, get it done.
And Melbourne and the Bulldogs have something we want? I don't care who he goes to, as long as it's to the team that gives us the best deal. And looking at the respective lists, I'd likely ask for a draft pick, and go with whichever team offers us the highest. I can't see anyone offering a top 10 draft pick for him, so it very well could be Carlton's pick 11 that is the best offer if they want him that badly. They have nothing we want.
He either goes to WB or Melb or he stays here.
I rate him as a 1st rounder, he didn't struggle to get a game for port. Missed 5 games with glandular fever and then had ankle surgery. Pick 17 for a 20 year in a year where the draft is very weak and shallow is a bargain. I don't think Port will trade him for pick 17 though.Pick 17 for Jacobs - surely not - jacobs is at best worth a late 2nd round pick - seriously think about the talent available and we are going to give up a first rd pick for a guy who struggled to get a game at Port - computer says NO
Would be paying way overs there. Now that Jacobs is coming back home, we must go after him. Pick 17 to Port for Jacobs, get it done.
