Patty Ryder to eagles, Leroy Jetta to crows,lions, or gc, Stewart Crameri to bulldogs, Bellchambers to hawks if buddy leaves gws or bulldogs? Tate Pears, Gumbleton, Hurley to?

Who will collingwood go after in 2014? all depends if we want to trade for draft picks to get kids in the door so we can compete with gc and gws in 4 years time.

You'd reckon they would be able to trade into the draft but what with? The ASADA sword could well be dangling over much of their list past the trade period. Who's going to want to take the punt on that outcome?

They were saying on 360 that if they lose picks they were aloud to trade into the first and 2nd rounds, which are the only rounds they are being banned from over 2 drafts.

A mate of mine is a VFL boundary umpire and he raves about this bloke. Every time he umpires a game of Port he reckons this bloke is in the best and thought he was head and shoulders above Sam Dwyer last year?

I don't know anything about him though. Could he benefit us?

What about Mitch Thorp? seems to have his head screwed on right these days and has really dominated for South Launceston this year kicking 78 goals from 18 games

Would love for us to rookie list him but i suspect a few clubs would be into him. Seems to have matured after starting a family and working his backside off to get another crack.

Yeah its an interesting one. They will have a few players looking to get out of the club I reckon...but clubs are going to be very cautious as many of the players could still face ASADA penalties.

I also suppose the Bombers can participate in free agency, but who on earth would want to come to the Essendon right now.

No, thats not the same logic thats just stupid because they are both head coaches. David Buttifant is not a head coach he is someone who reports to a head coach, a head coach of his choice.

You clearly didnt see the interview with Bucks last night and if you did you must not have a good eye for body language.
When asked about Thomas he was adamant and confident he would stay.
When asked about Butters he deflected and pretty much showed with his body language that he was gone.

I personally think its probably time for Buttifant to move on anyway.

Our last 2 years have been shocking in terms of injuries. I know you can't do a lot about certain injuries, but we have had a lot of soft tissue ones as well.

I also reckon we've lost that edge in terms of fitness. We used to be so much fitter than other sides. I know that competitive advantage doesn't last long because other sides catch up...but my concern is that they have gone past us.

If we are not the fittest team in the comp, we should be at least one of the fittest.

Buttifant has been the best going around, but I wonder if the players need a new method to get back the edge.

This is just my outside view on the situation. Obviously I am not internal and have no idea how this guy operates. Everyone speaks so highly of him, and he was very important in the 2010 flag. All I can comment on is what I see, and I want to be the fittest team in the comp again.

I asked Butters when i was in the rooms one day when our company cut Beams hair for Worlds greatest shave we had a great chat this was the week before the Brisbane pre season game

I asked him about Essendon he said they were in huge crap

I asked him players to watch out for he said Josh Thomas had a super pre season i found it pretty funny with the hype at the time

I also asked him if he would be joining Mick next year he had a laugh and said he was pretty happy at Collingwood and made some great relationships

So will be interesting
