I dunno about Stevens, we are in a premiership window at the moment and we shouldnt be going after players like him. What is the point in trading Wellingham and getting another midfielder. If we trade Wellingham it should be for player in that we need like a McIntosh from North or Pederson and Martin in some sort of trade.

We don't achieve anything if we trade Wellingham apart from a 1st rounder and we don't need one at the moment.

Pendles is an inside outside player, Beams is inside and outside as well. The problem with both of these guys is not their ability to play inside, but the fact they are not preoccupied with stopping an opponent. With out Ball we have no defensively minded midfielders, and thats what we missed this year. We didn't halve enough contests, we either won it or lost it. Ball helps with that. So too does Wellingham, I'm not sure Caddy would.

it'll be caddys 3rd year and his already shown his capable at AFL level kicking quiet a few goals this year in a low scoring team, i think caddy would add a lot to our midfield next year and easily be best 22. It won't take long before caddy is better than wellingham.

Gain - Giles Caddy Pearce

We would probably lose our 1st round pick but this fixes almost every problem and all 3 players are young and can build around

FF/RUCK - Giles plays 65% forward nice grab and can be the 2nd Ruck

HBF - Pearce has nice skills his quick and something we desperately need

MID - Caddy hard inside mid which we need around the contest and has 10 years infront of him

We need to sign up Goldsack first .
We may not have an option for Wellingham, he may want a trade.
If that is the case Collingwood need to get the best available Trade/talent. He is a premiership player nothing less than a first rounder would be acceptable or equivalent player.
We need a speedy back man, so we dont ever get embarrased like we did with Jetta again .

Personaly i would'nt trade Dawes, but i would go after 1 Martin /2 Pedersen , because they may give Dawes the chance to do what we need a second big man permanently up forward 1 to take the pressure off Cloke 2 pressure off Jolly .

We need speed across the ground urgently not just in the backs. Hence no Koby thanks.
 
I am sick of all these westcoast supporters that actually think they will get sharrod wellingham in a straight swap for koby stevens!!! complete BS!
 
Listen lads very much doubt that we woul;d use our first round pick in a trade.

We need it to pick up Craig Stewarts son cos he is a good kpp.

So if we trade,then it will be second and or thrird round picks not our first.

Lynch is an interesting one if indeed we have signed him then forget stefan martin,if we haven't then stefam martin or Pederson from north will come chaep and may be our target.not sure on Pederson don't think he has played much footy.

Martin will command a good pick or player...........may be too much for us.Martin is servicable at best wouldn't give up much for him.

Caddy is an inteesting one, we would need to offer up someone like wellingham to secure him.I would rather see wellingham at the gold coast than him playing for West Coast next season

I understand your logic in the first bit of the post, but luke ball will be 29 next season, returning from an ACL. He would have probably 1-2 good seasons in him, then what?(too much expectation is being placed on ball next season) who do we have to play as that in and under midfielder? Say what you want about beams and pendlebury, they are class but there was no coincidence that Hawthorn and Sydney bullied us in the middle with their better inside players.

Ball does respect his opponents, but ffs Wellingham despite being a 'tagger' doesn't have a defensive bone in his body. He only runs one way. Who knows what caddy will be like in terms of defensive work rate, but if Hine thinks he is worthy, then he is. But lets not forget a major core of our team is still early to mid 20's, our premiership window will open again.

Was 6th for tackles for us this year and this was even though he missed 6 games. I obviously just don't agree with the way you view players. Wellingham is very good at applying pressure and tackling, he is just very poor when he actually has the footy.
 
Lynch would be a great pickup to be second ruckman. Dawes could then be trade bait if we needed and we would have a 2nd ruckman.
Wood Rounds to Melb for Petterd would give our forward line more height.

I would not trade the caff.He is ready to have a big pre season as are all our players but he will be great next year.

Josh Thomas is looking likely for next year he will be a keeper.Wellighma i would trade but not to aclub like west coast who are in the premiership window,Gold Coast or Melb no worries but for a good player like for like otherwise no deal.
