It'd make sense if we have offered Brown up for trade. Get Rivers for free, trade Brown and our second rounder for Caddy. Something like that would be a big win for the Pies.

Im not hugely excited by Caddy. I just don't rate Brown very highly and think that Rivers is a slight upgrade on him, thus the trade I suggested would result in us essentially getting Caddy for free.

I have a feeling taz only retired to make room for clokey, i remember listening to an interview on triple mmm and he told the crew there (this is mid season) that he was hoping to prove he can still play on next year and he was just shattered at his unlucky run! He never looked to have lost the passion either which baffles me, he would of been (already maybe) on the vetran list too and he was in good knick... kicked two in our low scoring effort against the eventual premiers sydney.

I rate caddy but really his an unproven quanity and is nothing yet of the ilk of a swan/pendles which is fair because his just a young lad, if we get him id be stoked, but the thought on getting lynch has really grown on me! i dont think we should waste time on pedersen... he still needs to develop and what not and if we got him then whats wrong with witts/celgar etc it would just be a backward step!

looks like wellingham is going and pick 17 id be rapt with (dont think sharrod was such a high pick anyway) so we would be winners there! this gives us flexibility in the FA/Trade/draft period! Id rather we go to the draft however and we get lynch! then i think we will be ina better position to challenge for the flag

We took sharrod in the rookie draft, so i'd be rapt with a pick as high as 17

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter where we took sharrod, whether it was our first round pick or in the rookie draft we put a lot of development into him. He also lost us our TAC sponsorship. In an ordinary year I'd say that we would be getting ripped off, but this draft is ment to be the super draft so you would consider it. I'd be keen on a player with the pick (ala Kobe Stevens) but we are definitely in the lower position between the two teams.

After finals I would of been happy to get a trade out of shaz but now I'm sorta feeling shit about it. People have to remember that he's extremely talented and probably could in our top 3 midfielders in our team if he realises his potential. Unfortunately he might release that potential at another club.
